I have the Xenon Vision led's in my Tundra and they have worked fine for almost 2 years. I did have to replace one license plate light that was flickering.

So now I am shopping for a set for the wife new 4runner and went to the VLed website since they are having a 15% off sale.

Can someone tell me why one VLed bulb cost as much as I can buy a whole 13 piece interior/exterior set off of Xenon Vision?

    Or just opinions in general.

I know some guys on here run the VLeds and they will probably say they are awesome but damn they are expensive.

They are too expensive for me. The day may come where I need one very good reliable bulb and I MIGHT buy a vled, but they are just too much IMO.

My opinion is you're buying the name. That's it.

Vled does have a few unique products, but the interior bulbs aren't something I would cough up the extra money for.

Too rich for me as well. my $15 set working very well!

I brlieve the Vleds are not polarity specific like others you may have to reverse. Still made in Asia somewhere.....

My interior lights and license plate lights are all Sylvania Zevo LED and I have been very happy with them. Just another option.

Look on Amazon. I paid about $10 and 5 years later still going strong. Even if they crap out, $40 for the life of the truck ain't bad.

+1, I have the cheap set too. I got enough bulbs to do 2 Interiors for about $15. No problems. I swapped out overhead bed lights and back UPS too with the cheaper ones. I have no desire to do license plate bulbs. Don't really care if plate is more visible.

I've had very good luck with hikari and JDM astar LED bulbs. Both are available Amazon prime.

I had originally bought a set from Amazon. But after having issues with some of them flickering, I purchased some from GTR lighting and have not had any issues.9B089C60-3BDF-4B1D-9C51-53312480AD24.jpg

Interior VLEDS are too rich for me as well but I may get their signal ambers. I have Amazon ones for the inside, Canbus 194, no flicker, super bright, daylight balanced 6000K I think. Pack of 10 is less than 1 VLED and they've been in the better part of the year, cheap to replace if I ever need to.

Headlight Revolution is another great option. Most of my interior lights and all of my exterior lights are thru them.

I would recommend Sylvania or Philips LED replacements.
They supply products to OEM's that meet their testing requirements and drawing performance specs.
You can find them at Walmart, any auto store, or Amazon at reasonable prices.
If one ever burns out you can replace and match your set with minimum down time.
VLED and Headlight Revolution have good websites to make it easy to piece together a set.
Their price is very high for no name products. The light output is great but at what cost?
If they get super hot from extended use there may be potential to damage other components.

Quick question: I have a 2017 TRD Pro. Does anyone know how many interior bulbs it has that I can update to LED? These TRDs are funny - lots of the little creature comforts are omitted. No Puddle Lights under side mirrors, AUTO driver's side window is only "auto" going down, no heated seats, passenger seat is manual adjust (!), etc. Im not even sure if mine has footwell illumination - have to check tonight. I like the truck and understand it is designed primarily to excel in offroad conditions, but some of these items would be cheap for them to include in the purchase price and nice additions for the owner that have been in most vehicles for years.

Also, do people update the instrument cluster illumination? Easy?

    Thanks kindly!

    Flux capacitor!
I originally bought some Amazon led bulbs for my exterior license plate and interior lights. After they started to flicker or go out I replaced them with another knock off brand. So far so good. The only VLEDs I did purchase are for my headlight amber turn signals and my amber headlight reflectors. The packaging, quality of the product, brightness and function of them is great! But they are not cheap at all. But I didn’t want to get hyperflashing or have a burnt out turn signal. All the connectors are very well designed. I don’t think your paying for just a name on some of their products since most leds don’t have as much research and development into their product. But I don’t know if I would spend the money on vleds for the interior leds though.

Don't think so. They're the interior bulbs which will work for the exterior cargo and brake light and the license plate light.

Anybody had issues getting the SiriusLED Extremely Bright 3030 to work? It seems pretty straight forward. I popped one in the overhead light on the drivers side before work and it doesn't work for some reason. I tried to put the old bulb back in and now both sides don't light up. I'm assuming I'll just need to replace a fuse but did anybody have any issues? Looking at Amazon it says it should work for this bulb on a 18 CM

Follow up. Checked all the fuses under the hood and do not see a 7.5 blown. The only other thing I can think of is the brass prongs are bent out now. Not sure the best approach to bending them back to tighter fitting.

I paid $15.00 fot a set from eBay and they have done great so far.but,it it's only been 5 months.sometimes it is just the name you are paying for and sometimes not! I replaced most all the bulbs in my dash lights and heat controls with ice blue LED lights and they worked great for 6 months, now I have 4 lights that flicker from time to time. I only paid $10.00 for the entire set for my 2000 tundra.but again sometimes you get what you pay for!

I replaced the fuse and all is well except for the drivers side map light. The brass connection at the top looks jacked up (see pic). I've monkeyed with it and no dice. Anybody run into this? Hoping I don't have to break down and take it to the dealer.

Yep, this has happened to several members including myself. The prongs come loose easily on the inside and you have to take the whole thing down to push them back down. It’s not that difficult and there are a couple threads deatailing how to do it.
