I think serving warrants and being called out to domestic disputes are potentially the worst situations LEOs encounter. I wonder how the msm will twist this one or whether they'll mostly ignore it if it doesn't fit the narrative.

Depressing. The emotional tug of the funerals, the families left shattered. The Hollywood position of victim hood on behalf of the suspect.

It used to be different. You killed a cop, your ass wasn't getting booked, you were getting buried. If you managed to run to Mommy's house and elude "capture" your ass was going in the darkest, coldest cell we had. You'd eat, but it wouldn't be warm and ya better be good at catching it. Everyone the suspect had contact with would be scrutinized and searched to the utmost degree... Nothing moved.. Ever. Generally you'd hang yourself between security rounds or inmates would assault you and after a dry out, would make tier tender or trustee. You'd change facilities and the cycle would start over again.

Now the cop killer has an excuse, a 20/20 Interview, and the DDA on speed dial. County wants to deal for a conviction even if it's a low sentence, Pro Per even... Amazing. Jail will shut down to move these little princesses around for therapy, dental, medical, yard, visits, etc.

We need to bring back Penal Institutions. This rehabilitation policy is a bunch of garbage and recidivism proves its not doing anything.

This stuff makes my skin crawl.

I've been in the courtrooms of Los Angeles for 27 years, and it never used to be like this. A lot of the blame is media and the ACLU who give defendants and the accused more rights than the victims. Also the higher level ranks of the LE agency, meaning the sheriff and chief, they have a hands-off policy - no touching of any kind that would be perceived as aggressive. And you have the mayor of LA telling his officers to leave the homeless - who are drug addicted, mentally ill or just jerk-offs - who assault, deal in drugs and consume drugs, to leave them alone. This festers a lawless society where there is no authority. Not the fault of beat cops who want to make a difference but they are not allowed to.

    Skin crawling indeed.

    Death Penalty !

Kill someone, Sell drugs or Rob someone with a weapon and upon conviction you should be executed.

    Just my opinion. ;)

Not in California!! A lot of theft crimes are no longer felonies and all criminals know what the threshold is so they get slap on the wrist. They are supporting a drug habit and they get no chance to clean up, but it’s not like they want to! They get free money from the govt and housing, go rob and steal to get more money for the drug habit. Then the LEO can deal with their drugged up asses who are assaulting and commiting crimes while high.
F’d up state. And none of our death row inmates get put to death! Get penalty, wait 10 yrs for an attorney, who will find a technicality and get conviction overturned and start over but witnesses and evidence gone. How is that justice?

I helped put Gene E McCurdy on death row in CA. He will be in the system until he passes.

It's been a couple days now. I don't follow msm so i don't know if they've touched on this. Been watching the kavanaugh debacle on fox and online sources. So far, aside from the breaking news story when this event had just occurred I haven't seen one clip, one comment,... nothing. All my news feeds, all my friends on both sides,... crickets.
