My step-father just bought a trailer when a spot finally opened up out in Cloudcroft, so I'll likely be making at least one trip a year out there. Is there any wheelin' to be had in that area?

It’s a real nice place to go camping and hiking, but I don’t know of any off road trails. I’ve olny been up there a couple of times, and never researched for off road trails.

Check out the area near Bluff Springs. It's off Sunspot Highway. Alot of 4 wheelers and dirt bikes out there.

I am not familiar with this area, but will do some research on it.
Always looking for new places to explore!
Maybe even meet up with you when you are visiting for a little group off roading :) ! @Sas

Love to and thanks! I did a bit of digging as well, but really only found ATV, biking and hiking in that area. Surely there's gotta be more. It's a beautiful area from the pics I've seen.

Haven't been there in a few years, in the summer it's beautiful sky country there are some ATV and horse riding trails and camp grounds, haven't really looked into off-road wheeling tho. winter time there is skiing and lot of snow.

I live a little less than 2 hours away from cloudcroft. Mostly all national forest so you can wander down forest service roads but actual off-loading is not allowed. It is beautiful country though for sure, that's where I elk hunt when I draw. Let me know whatever questions you have or when you come down. Cheers

Ruidoso has some off road trails which are mostly just gravel, but you will be all alone there.

    Maine!!! Lotsa trailing here.

Cloud Croft has many fire road type trails, but with the Mescalero lands there, you’re hard pressed to find any decent trailing.

Down in the valley out by Tularosa there are a few dirty trails that range from mild to wild...mostly sandstone/mud depending on the season. A nice waterfall you can explore as well.

Other than that, no more NM life for me. Y’all can kee it

I looked as well. From what I have read, a lot of the Jeep trails were shut down to ATV use only.

Well I know some people in PA that work for Panda Power, and building more plants up that way.
