I have a 2018 SR, these lights so not exist on my mirrors, can they be added? I do see some sort of a circle on the bottom of my mirrors, but I don't think it is cutout.

If it is possible, what recommendations for wiring and if need be cutting the hole? Also, how does the actual mirror get removed from the holder?

This looks like it would be very cool if it can be done.

    Thank you!

Thanks to OP and all the comments. Does anyone have a confirmation of where to connect the LED for those of us who do not have OEM puddle lights? I have a CM SR5 and I believe there are existing conductors to the OEM harness up to the mirror. Which are the one that would power the puddle lights? Or where would it be to tap into? Thanks in advance.

First post here. Replaced puddle lights on my 2019 CrewMax 1794 with lights from Drive Bright. The change out was quite simple as I've followed steps provided by others on the forum. It probably took less than 5 minutes in total to change both lights. The fit was perfect and there's no concern of them falling out. Here are some photos. I didn't take any pictures with the stock puddle lights. They were quite dim, however, and you'd have to know they were there to even notice.

I changed out mine. They are nice and bright. I also did the interior and that was a big improvement. It nice in the morning to be able to see inside your truck when your working. Another LED improvement in the reverse lights. I can see a whole lot better when backing in my driveway.

How do you guys reprogram the lights to stay on longer. I know someone mentioned a program but can’t seem to find anything on it while searching. Will be doing this mod for sure.

Ordered a set for my SR5. I’ll post any install notes for others asking about fitment to SR5.

Ordered VLED 5k Natural White universal with a set of duo taps. These come pre-wired with 6 feet of wire.

I’ll start a new thread, as this one is titled specifically for Plat/1794

awesome mod, took 2 minutes for the first side then 30 seconds for the other side. I bought a pair from ebay for $13, no need for any expensive brand.

Just wanted to swing by and thank Blue, the OP, for these. great find, and a wonderful addition to our truck. Thanks for the DIY as well! :)

PS Yes, the OE puddle lights were challenging to release. I ended up having to release the clip closest (only one visible) to me, wiggle out the same side down, follow along the revealed edge towards the back side, break the plastic cover off, take a small screw driver and angle into the back side where opposite clip is to push and release that side. This was the ONLY way I could get out the piece as one (ish) piece to reveal the male/female power source to release. To reinsert, the opposite side of the new puddle light must be snug all the way into the housing prior to clipping in the side closest to YOU. Hope that helps anyone struggling.

PSS Also, the manufacturer states 5500K color. It's closer to 6000K in color when compared to the 5500K color of VLED's 5500K color 194 bulbs.

Oh I’m here lol. Just cruising. Still have the tundra but also picked up another toy.

I did pickup a switch pro. Going to add some ditch lights(bd pros) and also bought some diode dynamics ss2 lights I’ll flush mount to my rear bumper.

Since this thread has been resurrected, it is VLED puddle lights for the win..
You get what you pay for...

Made my own custom mirror puddle lights in my 2014 SR5, tapped into the little driver's foot well light circuit.
They fade on and fade out with the door lock/unlock.

Also installed VLED footwell lights into the same circuit....

Seems my lighted keyring mod is on the same circuit.
Fades on and off with the puddle and footwells lights..
