I was looking at the bed on my new tundra and wondered why Toyota would not install plugs or bolts in the threaded cargo system nuts in the bed.I'm considering having a LINE-X bedliner installed but don't want those holes filled in with the material.Has anyone installed any D RING type of tie downs in those locations?

I assume these bolts would be metric?

I told the Line X guy I wanted to keep the holes open and he did. I assume he put temporary bolts in prior to spraying.

Definitely metric. Forgot the size offhand. I re-used the bolts that came with my slide rail system (sold that)

Going to stop by Home depot and pick up some Unistruts and Unistrut channel nuts. Going to mount them at the lower D-ring fastening points. This way I regain slide rails and still have 12 stationary D-ring mounting points. I should be able to still do the ammo can mod without getting in the way of the tonno(in theory.) Worth a shot. A good weekend project.

Yeah. I checked the package from leftover cap screws. It's M6-1.0

The Uni Struts are not going to work with my "D-ring" set up. The Uni Struts are too wide height wise. I can retro fit actual D-rings like @alalmcgrath did and make the Uni Struts work so I can use Brian's/csu vipers ammo can mod. I will make it happen!!!

I was originally incorrect on the bolt size.
M6 x 1 is confirmed to be the correct size.

Bought them on AMAZON. They are called "flush anti-rattle D rings". They come with a backing plate (plastic) that I did not use.
