Picked it up at Autozone. I tossed the package already, I think it’s this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/Custom-Combos-92901-License-Shield/dp/B01D46BA9Q

I added a smoke shield and painted the screws (added longer screws to get through everything):

    https://www.amazon.com/Cruiser-Accessories-76200-Shield-License/dp/B00155237W?th=1&psc=1

I’d been looking at different frames online to mute some of the brightness from our SC plates; really liked this one’s solid feeling construction. It’s a tight fit with the bumper, but looks good I think.

Look what arrived today. Unfortunately, no time to install before Thursday (at the earliest).

Looking great. Wow that ceramic is nice. I really wanna do mine. Needs so much paint correction though.

Got the call yesterday that the P&P sliders had their Line-X coating and were ready to install. Went by this morning and had them put on before work. Cost a little extra to have someone do it, but after watching him, I'm glad I did. Took about 45 minutes to an hour to install; probably would have taken me at least twice that AND I would probably have needed to purchase some new tools (my tool collection consists of a single tool box with basic household tools).

I think they look great. Here are some photos:

Awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing some pics! Did I see you post somewhere that you were putting the Rigid Midnight Series light bar on it?

I canceled it right now. All the mods were up to almost 8k, so I’m holding off on the lights. I elected for a ********* audio system instead of the lights. Dual 10” subs and component speakers, amps, sound processor, and full matting in the truck

I think I’m going to change the bumpers in the next little while, so I didn’t want to have to mess with selling the light bar

I feel your pain. I'm over $6k in after delivery additions and my wish list is $10k+ more. Gonna slow down some now that the sliders are on. Will do some smaller stuff here and there, but big stuff (like the upgraded sound system) will have to be planned out a little down the road.

Let me know how you like the *********. It's on my wish list, or a similar system from a local shop (since I can't/won't install myself). You keeping the factory headunit or changing it out?

Have loved to do the install, but I just don’t have the time with twins, and fishing hah

Install looks pretty easy, and there are tons of videos. Just time consuming. I ended up getting the matting ($500) and install ($500) for free so I just went with that.

That's a great deal. I wish I was close enough to them to justify the drive.

I've watched some of the install videos, and it does look relatively doable. I'll definitely be paying for the install though. My mechanical skill is about a 1.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Last night I added a locking hitch pin (keyed to my truck's key):

    IMG-0354.jpg

Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the fact that the old hitch step I had laying around, and intended to use until I get something else, doesn't work with the 5/8" pin. I guess it's time to start narrowing down my choice for rear end protection/hitch accessories.

    I think I'm leaning towards the BA4x4 Backbone - https://www.bodyarmor4x4backbone.com/

A couple of lunchtime mods added today:

Anyone know of a way to make this image stay a little longer? Or replace the Toyota image?

Anyone else notice how big the pictures I post are? Anyone know how to teach me to insert more reasonably sized pictures?

I love the padlock one. I use it to lock down my cooler in the truck bed. I had someone steal an old small cooler out of there. I won't leave my 65qt unlocked

Finally got some time and daylight to do this quick install. This wasn’t difficult, but it did reinforce the fact that I’m going to have to add tools to my mod list. With a little assistance from my son (borrrowed tools) and my wife (tiny hands to get the top nut threaded) we knocked it out.

They’re the factory option pocket flares w/black rivets. I think MSRP is $600-$700 or something; I had them included in the purchase price.

Ha! That’s on the list...way down at the bottom. Maybe once the warranty is up and I kid some of my kids off the payroll.

I mentioned in another thread, but haven't talked about it here yet. My 'big' gift from my wife for Christmas is a new audio system, remote start, and heated front seats for the Tundra (I think she has a little self motivation for those last two).

Keeping the head unit and going all JL for speakers, including the JL Stealth Box:

    upload_2018-12-18_11-50-27.jpg

Had it all set for install this week so we could enjoy for our Christmas travels...but, you know what they say about 'best laid plans'. JL subs for the stealthbox are on back order until early January. They offered to do a partial install and then drop the box in later, but I think I'd rather them just have to go in the truck once. Besides, the installer is 45+/- minutes from my house and I don't want to have to make that trip any more than I have to.

So I guess I'll be waiting for that awesome new sound (and warm butts in the mornings).

Meanwhile, I know there are some other items from my list coming from other family members (no idea what yet), so I should have some updates coming soon!
