So, here is how the build ended up: 2017 DC
    - Morel Tempo Ultra 602 Components Front/Rear
    - Tweeter Sail Panels
    - JL Stealthbox / 2 x 10" Subs
    - Kenwood 9905S Head Unit
    - iDatalink Maestro RR w/ TO2 harness and uTO2 to keep stock USB location
    - JL VX1000/5i 5 channel amp w/ DSP
    - Scoche TA2116B Radio Mount Kit
    - Stock AMP harness adapter
    - ********* AMP bracket and HD speaker mounts
    - Stinger 6000 series RCA's
    - 4 gauge Amp wiring kit
    - Front camera
    - A couple of other things like sound deadening, sail panels, remote, harness, etc. etc. Lost count but close to a $6k built.

First thing, this was a pretty much plug and play build and very pleased with the outcome and sound quality. Sorry not many pics, was really into the install and not on the pics.
    - Dremeled sail panels to flush mount tweeters and fitted the crossover were the door panel buldge space is.
    - The amp was a perfect fit with the ********* bracket under the passenger seat, aligned it so I'm able to access connectors form the front and behind and not having to remove the seat. (sorry no pics, the installer had put back the seat when I decided to take pics)
    - The head unit is really nice and a perfect fit with the scoche kit, also had the metra but the quality difference is really noticeable. There is plenty of space behind the head unit to fit all harness adapters, maestro module, usb, etc.
    - The maestro module was really easy to flash, create an account, choose vehicle and head unit and done.
    - The JL VX amp is really cool with the integrated DSP and TuN software and the sound quality is amazing. Not so user friendly but just have to get the hang of it. Still need to tune the system which probably will take months of back and forth like any other DSP. If you do not want to get into the DSP business the Kenwood DDX9905S has all the features you need for a right tune.

Really pleased with the setup. Here are a couple of bad pics, will post better pics later.

Stealthbox sound really good, nice thumb. Subs are facing down and give the cabin a whole around sound. Have not fine tuned the sub freq yet but I know JL quality, been using them as subs in all my builds, they will not let you down.

I was surprised at your amp choice with an aftermarket deck. I bet it sounds amazing!

At first I was going to keep the stock deck but after some convincing and having used the JL Fix on my 16 Tacoma, I decided to change the HU to maximize sound quality. The fix will do the work but it will never be like an aftermarket deck.

Dynamats have not arrived yet. I wasn’t even going to install speakers until dynamat got here but my installer did not let me leave the shop without listening to the Morels. This is how I did my 16’ Tacoma. Inside and out of the door panel.

Nice setup. I'm planning on running Morel 603s in the front and 602s in the rear with a JL shallow 12 behind the seat(CrewMax). I love Morel midbass!

Great speakers! I run the Virtus 603 on my 18’ Grand Cherokee SRT and the sound is way fuller. Love them

Was able to dedicate some time to do the deadening for the front doors and installing to front camera.
    Did the inner door panel

    and the outer part

    4.jpg
Also added Stinger roadkill foam rings to better help the audio projection into the cabin.

Here is the front camera view.

Im in the middle of a kenwood install myself. Did the maestro allow the connection of the antenna and backup camera or do i need a special adapter for those?

The maestro did come with the camera wiring ready. As for the radio antenna, I know I bought the antenna adapter but I dont remember if I used it :notsure:
