The center light looks way off center in the bottom photo, but perfect on the truck. How is that?

Not bad, probably took an hour to an hour and a half. I started on the drivers side front, went to passenger front, then to passenger rear and finally to the drivers rear.

To start, I removed the cupholder area trim and the rear panel from the console (no tools required). This gives you alot of accesabilty. I used black zip ties and some gorilla tape. The double sided tape included on the led strips is not very good.

If you have some electrical wiring knowledge and can make terminals easily, I would suggest skipping the kit and piecing it together to save some money $.

$60 is a little much for what you get in these kits, imho.

Less than $10 eBay. Cut off the switch and posi-tap the wires to the existing pinhole footwell light to the left under the steering wheel so it turns off/on with the door. Add zip ties too on top of the provided 3M tape and it’ll never come off. You may need to lengthen one set of wires depending on your tunneling. My wires are under my Husky mats and there’s spots to zip tie them under the seats near the back. Pretty easy mod. I have the same Kelvin white in my interior LEDs for a uniform look, pretty bright in there.

It’s not off, I measured it it is right on. But you are right it does in one photo.
It might the the temporary tape I had on to hold grill tight. This might be what’s why.

My old home made fire extinguishing mount was kinda weak. Already broke once. So I decided to go with the Rago Fabrication modular bed rail mounts. Lots of holes to choose from but they didn’t match up to the Drake quick release mount the way I wanted it mounted (vertical). I had to drill one hole for it to work. Might end up mounting a race jack mount to both of them.

No, front only. Considered the rear, but I wanted a tire swingout. Now I need a rear bumper because I bought a hitchgate for the truck.

Nope that charger would only charge if the phone was right in the center of the square. I will be sending it back. Would not even charge my wife’s phone with a cover on it.

20180923_145640.jpg Got NSV light bar in the hood bulge installed. Installation was not to bad. The only thing that fought me was getting the wires ran through the firewall. I will tell what all the neighbor hood kids learned some new words. Ofcourse found some better ways to do it on here. I should have looked here first. Have had it on for a week now and I love it.

Yesterday, very light projects. First, I went to a yard sale last weekend with the missus. A guy had a 31" LED bar with a couple of brackets and some wiring, and after some amicable haggling, got it for $20. He guaranteed the lights would work, and if they didn't, I could bring it back. But for only $20, I probably would've just let the fine gentleman have the cash if it didn't work, for community's sake ;). Figured the 31" bar would go nicely in the gap above the front license plate.

First, I took some measurements of the bumper mount bolts, and did a little fabrication to the brackets at work this week to fit on the top two outer bumper mount bolts.

Bought some stainless lock washers, spacers, and bolts with the correct threading into the light bar, and voila.

Ran the wires to the battery and through the firewall, and with some help from @831Tun, @Stumpjumper, and @NewImprovedRon, wired a two-pin switch like the ones @TundraTex sends with his FRAC harness and mounted it to my "ledge".

BAM, nice "stealthy" looking LED bar for about $30 with the extra mounting hardware and the switch.

And the final minor mods, a "shawty" antenna and tie-downs for the bed (and a few for the accessory rails).

Tnx for posting that. I've been wondering where I would put my switches in cab for compressor and air horn. I kinda like that location on the "ledge" I might just copy and put my switches there. Good job on the ingenuity making those brackets work and getting a nice functional light bar mod for so cheap. Nice work.

Thanks for the compliments! Can't take the credit for the "ledge" mount...that's courtesy of @BlueBottle and @TundraTex in the FRAC Harness thread.
