any of you cool cats have any experience eradicating bamboo other than napalm?

my neighbor has roughly a quarter acre of fast spreading blue bamboo and its out of control. Im about to visit the township and see if there is any help they can provide.

Tordon, works on trees. Coat the leafs. Only thing I am aware of. Not certain it works on bamboo, but not expensive either if it doesn't work

She’s not even close. That merely kills that sprout. The rhizome underneath will send up many more to avenge the dead ones.

I keep my yard mowed and that helps control. But when growing season arrives if you don’t stay on it you will quickly be over run by it.

If you have a neighbor that’s a total douche and you want to keep him busy sneak a piece of rhizome in their yard and watch the shit show unravel, just make sure they are several houses away or it will quickly become your problem...

As for salt I would need two oceans worth of it to kill this amount. I refer to his yard as Cambodia.

Agree 100 percent. My neighbor wasn’t even the original planter.. this spread from 2 houses over. Back in the 60s the pothead van living son of my other neighbor planted it along with a mosquito infested coi pond.. you know...all the hippy shit from that era..40 something yrs later that green herpes is still spreading.

Exactly. Out of control bamboo is next to impossible to get rid of unless you have a bulldozer and some DDT
