Ok everyone, final week before the big event. For those of you on the fence, this is going to be a really nice event and shouldn't be missed.

    Hi Everyone,
Sad to say, I won’t be attending this event. I was involved in accident over the past weekend. Driving down won’t be a possibility with the meds and doctor restrictions. Hoping you all take lots of pictures though.
    Thanks.

BayRunner, Angelslure, driverdog, and kwinfield94....thank you for the kind words.

As my luck would have it, the accident revolves around my neighbors broken water main and my clogged drain pipe. The utility company had to dig up our both yards, because our pipes run adjacent to each other. In the process of fixing the water line, they managed to clog the flow of the drain. They did a good job of covering the hole up with lumber, but wanted to come the next day when it stopped raining to back fill it.
When I noticed my drain wasn’t draining properly I was fearful of flooding the basement again.

I went ahead and started the process of cleaning the drain and my neighbor decided he wanted to move a stack of lumber. I don’t even know what he was thinking because we were talking about my drain. He decided that he needed to move some 2x10s. I think at this point, I must of re-enacted the comedy skit from a Abbott and Costello movie. I get broadsided with a 2x10 and get launched into a partially covered ditch. Managed to land face down, but the wood that was covering the ditch decided to collapse and land on my back.

At this point I couldn’t tell what hurt worse, my back or my dignity of being covered head to toe in mud. It’s a good thing I’ve known my neighbor for years, great guy, no way should he be near any tooling or lumber for that matter. He’s been taking care of my house stuff, while trying to recover. Thought I share another comedic moment in my life.....

Hey, good chance coming up there for the meet. There may be another friend coming with his Tundra. Will be glad to meet everyone. I was going through the posts, is anyone meeting in Hampton Roads and going as a group/convoy?

Are you able to make it on Saturday now? Except I think you wanted to go up Friday for other reasons, so:(
I'm planning to leave around 0745 and go 460, with one stop at the Pilot truck stop just before 295 to empty my tiny tank. There's not really a good place to meet closer than around the Duck donuts area we met last weekend. It's about 10 minutes out of my way, so no big deal.
@marc32, sorry to hear. I stepped in a hole once when I was working at NNS and it hurt like a bitch. Heal fast.

All, I regrettably cannot make the journey to the Commonwealth this weekend. The closing of our house got moved up and I will be moving this weekend. Please don't be jealous of all the fun I'll be having. You poor suckers will be missing out. Hopefully, you can find someone else to burn the hot dogs.

Just seeing this. Am I too late? Could probably find the time to roll up from Raleigh! I haven't met any of you folks yet so would definitely be a lone wolf

edit - I don't bring much to the table other than some bikes, a yeti, and maybe some inappropriate jokes
