Forgive me if this question has already been answered. I did not find what I was looking for by searching.
I have a 2009 SR5 with billstein 5100 struts. Ever since installing the new struts my ride quality has diminished. Will installing new upper control arms designed for the lift make a difference in my ride quality, or is returning to stock height the best option?
I really don't want to loose the look, but I do a lot of driving, and would really like a better ride.

I recently upgraded to 5100's on my 2018 with the clip setting on max. From my understanding, the ride quality has to do with the compression of the coil, not so much the UCA's. There is more preload on the coil when you compress the spring, this makes the rebound capabilities of the suspension different, which makes the ride "stiffer." I also just ordered some Camburg balljoint UCA's which is for correcting my alignment specs post-lift. It's a give and take, my friend. Would love to see pics!

What specifically are you referring to with the ride quality? Is it too stiff, too bouncy, hard riding? I have the 5100s on my 10 CM and overall it does ride a bit stiffer/hard. Compared to the stock setup, I feel more of the road on the 5100s. The stock felt more cushioning and softer over bumps and so on. Off-road suspensions are going to feel much more stiffer than the stock street setups. After a month or two, I got really used to the difference in ride and now, I totally prefer to stiffer ride. I hate the feeling of a too soft ride that is bouncy even going over pebbles in the roads. :)

I agree. I was worried that the ride quality was going to diminish but even with the clip setting on max and load range E tires, the ride feels much better. Feels like I have more control of the truck

Yup, that's the same way I felt about my 10 CM after I went with the 5100s.

Thanks for the input guys. My truck is actually more of a bouncy ride now than before and has also started a vibration that I can feel through the steering wheel. I was thinking that maybe the lift had worn my ball joints out? Wheel bearings seem fine.
