Yesterday in the South Florida 99 degree heat, a neighbor didn’t slowdown for the speed bump and his Ferrari caught fire:bananadead:. Should I have felt sorry for him? :) Word of advice.....buy a Tundra! It would not have any problems getting over the speed bump.

Speed bump? Really? So what is the theory for cause of fire?

It literally caught fire as he hit the speed bump. A neighbor is of the belief that he jammed his cat up into the fuel line somewhere. These cars a very low profile, so it doesn’t take much to hit the lower carriages. The most important point here is that he ignored the speed bump, so he paid the price.

@Grumpy Uncle You know that’s exactly what he is going to do. He is going to find himself a big shot attorney and try to sue everyone....the community, Ferrari, the insurance company, and even the little old lady walking her dog when it happened:)

Or, blame the HOA or city because the speed bump was too tall.

    Flux capacitor!
Fires on high end sports cars are more common than you might think. Especially with how hot the exhaust and headers get. I’ve heard of people parking in tall grass with a hot exhaust and catching the grass on fire. Good thing it’s an older Ferrari 360 and not a newer one. This brings new meaning to the saying Fire Sale. Lol

Yup, he is probably working on his suit of the HOA right now, instead of watching the Dallas/Giants game.

You’re absolutely correct. This is my second time seeing a Ferrari on fire. I don’t think that these high end cars like warm weather. :)

I’m going with the battery not being secured by a proper hold-down and contacted metal across the posts when it bounced.

@Darkness He can sue me if he wants to. He won’t get anything, because I have nothing to give. :). But, you have just given me an idea. I should sue him for defacing our sidewalk, scratching up our speed bump, disturbing my Saturday evening football game, giving me PTSD from the trauma of seeing my dream car on fire. I can think of much more shit to add to the list of items to sue him for if he must insist. :)
