    20” wheels, 295’s/? grapplers

Plan on doing 5100’s up front - seeing a lot of mixed results/combos.

Hoping for a close result to this member’s truck, however he has a 3” lift.

Oh, sorry. Yes, I put a 2” block in the back for now but will be switching to the coach builder shackle at some point. I rubbed on both side front bumper but I was able to trim the plastic, redrill a hole about 1” below where it currently mounted and resecure. Very clean and can’t tell anything has been trimmed. I rub on the left front body mount very slightly full lock reverse but nothing to worry about. Total I am 3.5” front (2.5” from 5100’s and 1” with 2 shims) and 2” rear. Rides great!

Are you at the mid setting or top for the 5100s?

I feel like if I just put 5100’s up front and that’s it, I’m not going to get the look I want.

OP, what exactly are you going for? I know you posted 295's as a question, but are you looking to run more of a 33's or 35's on the truck? If you plan on sticking with 33's you will be fine running just the 5100's on the middle or top setting. If you are wanting 35's, you will probably want to add a few shims to get closer to a full 3". Depending on how high you want to go or what your plans are, you could look at the Eibach coilover setup through Toytec. Also not sure what your budget is.

Here is a picture of my truck for example just to give you an idea on looks. I'm running a 2" spacer, which would be close to the Bilsteins, and 33's. I'm running a 275/70/18, but it's 33" tall for viewing purposes. Truck doesn't have anything in the back.

I’ll be running 33’s. I just feel like the amount of lift won’t satisfy me or look good

The only down fall, going too high of a lift, the 33's start looking to small. To be honest, 3" is almost pushing it when it comes to making 33's look too small. Now you could go with an equivalent of like a 34" or so on a 3" lift and fill it out a little more.

I have a tundra I bought 6 months ago and it doesn't have the best ride over rough roads, is this because the shocks are bad or because of the stock rough suspension? I have no idea if they're bad or not because I have no other truck to compare to.

Hows the ride on top setting with 2 shims? I'm debating on this setup

I think it’s great. It’s of course stiffer than stock but I have no issues with it.

We normally set the 5100's up on the top setting and use 2 of our Coachbuilder shims on the driver side and 1 on passenger side. This sets the truck at 3" and levels out the driver side lean... Ride quality is the same as if it were just set on the top setting and rides excellent. The traction control can be a bit finicky if there isn't just a touch of rear rake and usually add set of our +3"s in the rear take care of the extra lift needed.

No, I didn’t need the cmc. I do rub just a touch on left mount full lock reverse but not enough to worry about.

Are the blisteins that come with the truck adjustable?

Stock for now, but have TRD Rear Sway bar for it.
I am thinking the 5100's on all four corners with the front set on the middle setting and 2 of your spacers on top for the small add. Diff spacer and either stock in the back or a 1" block (since I already have one at home). What do you think of this set up. I want it just to be level since the front is so raked out and wanna run 33's (275/60r20 tires). I really just want it level with the 33's and some off road worthiness, nothing extravagant. Thank you so much. Matt

Take a look at my pictures above. What you are describing is essentially what I am running in terms of height and tire size. The 275/70/18 is pretty close to the same thing as 275/60/20, yours just has more wheel and lower profile on the tire.

Parker, thanks. I read it again.....lol. I am trying to make and do the best 1 time solution. I have already spent some money on a couple spacer kits, but am trying to decide if shocks should just be the way, then I found deal on TRD Pro Coilovers too.....I have a Readylift 2.4 spacer kit and a Pro Comp 3/1 spacer lift, both sitting on the shelf. SO MANY DAMN OPTIONS and Ideas. Ugh.

Usually with 3" up front your truck will measure any where from 1/4"-1/2" low in the rear... The traction control is happiest with at least 3/4" -1" of measurable rake. With 1" of rake in the rear your truck will visually look level but your tape measure will always tell you the truth.

The 2wd trucks do sit a touch higher with less weigh up front and may see 3.25"

Sorry, I meant stock. What are you referring to it seeing 3.25”

I’m looking at doing the 5100’s, deciding to use shims or not, how to get max height and if I need to do anything for the rear
