    Hey guys

1st time buying a truck so I apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge.

Just bought a 2019 Tundra Trd Pro that came with fender flares (installed at gulf states Toyota) and had only 2 miles at the dealership. My plan was to add fender flares when I buy a TRDP so lucky for me I found one already installed. On the sticker tag it listed the costs for $695 so not a bad deal, I think..

Next, I want to add thicker tires but only if they can fit my stock 18' trd pro wheels. I also want to have a bit wider stance so wheels are leveled out with the fender flares rather than how it currently looks now being sucked in..

I want to avoid any modifications if possible because of my Toyota factory warranty like cutting/trimming, lifting, etc. I also do not want to modify the fox suspension as well. I'm a guy that loves vehicles that are all original and stock and would like to do the same..

Lastly one other but important note, I absolutely must be able to fit my trdp inside my standard 2 car garage (7ft). Where I live, I do not trust it being parked outside..

So, with all that being said and based on my newbie research, it looks like I may be able to achieve this with a 1 or 2 inch leveling kit and some spacers??

I need your help on how I can achieve this thicker tires, wider stance look without lifting up too much that it cannot fit in my 83inch garage and not voiding my factory warranty..LOL

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't do anything to the suspension. Those fox set ups are really nice and a spacer will kill your ride quality and downtravel.
I'd just get wider tires, I think you can fit 285s that are 33" tall without any mods to your stock trd pro. But check it the thread dedicated to that very common question.
You can maybe even fit a 295 wide and taller if you remove mudflaps, trim a little plastic and do a slight body mount chop. Those things will not void your warranty btw.

    Welcome from Washington.

Your pro should already be about 2" taller than the other models. You should be able to fit 275/70 easily and 295/70 with a little trimming.

To push your wheels out so it is closer to the fender Flair's and keep stock wheels you will need spacers. Otherwise you will need to get new wheels with a smaller offset.

How much room do you have now putting it in the garage? Should be able to go up in tire size and only increase 1-2 inches in height depending on tire size increase.

    Good luck!

Call coachbuilder and talk to David if you want some more height.

Just got off the phone with him today, and he knows what he’s talking about. Can help you with tires etc.

I’m having a set sent to my dealership and they are going to install them on my pro. It will be warrantied through Toyota.

Extra inch in front and 1.75” in the rear.

Definitely a lot going on in the OP.
Now I see he wants wheels moved out too. But stock wheels. So I guess spacers are only option?
I'm also wondering now what he means my thicker tires? Wider? Taller? More sidewall?

285/70/r18 on stock pro rims no trimming no rub to widen the stance you would need a different rim with a different off set or spacers. This could lead to needing to trim or remove some things though.

I started like you, wanting to keep my TRDP stock. Was convinced by others to get a BMC, shims/shackles from Coachbuilder (as mentioned by someone before) & Spidertrax spacers. With slight trimming will get you into 12.5” wide tires. Running 35” on stock TRDP wheels with very little sticking out.

    Welcome! Sweet truck!

Really don’t think doing a BMC would void any warranty. They have to be able to “prove” your modification is what caused the malfunction. Example: transmission starts acting up, they say it’s from the weight of larger tires, etc.

But to add to someone else’s post on here, I wouldn’t ever recommend spacers. It’s the cheap way to get leveled, but you will sacrifice ride quality and suspension travel.

Wheel spacers would be a good idea since stock wheels have a high offset. Then I believe you can get into a 33” tire.

Are you talking about shims or spacers or both? Confused.

Shins should be ok, but spacer on strut is a no go for me. Ruins the ride IMO

I just put 285/70 on my 2019 Pro, with flares. No modifications needed (even kept the small front flaps). Not sure if this is the look your wanting:

The OPs scenario is flawed. You can't maintain a purist position, fulfilling the engineers intent while striving for aesthetics.
If you want a lift and large tires, go for it. If Toyota covers ball joints, CVs boots and shafts, drivelines and Ujoints, etc.. More power to you.

You have almost a foot of clearance... 2 inches are for what exactly? Tires? What will bigger tires do?

    Raise clearance.
    "Improve look"

    Or...

    Change ride quality (subjective)
Throw suspension and transmission out of spec and increase wear (factual and objective)
Decrease already low but accepted fuel mileage

Your truck is a barge from an offroad standpoint. I gave up Jeeps to join the Tundra world. You need light, high clearance, low geared 4.88\5.13 and 4 to 1 to crawl effectively and manage the Tellicos and Moab/Rubicon world. Tundra is designed for towing and longevity.

So why not keep your mindset and not muck with it? Not criticism, those who modify their Tundra in this manner, expect to spend money upgrading and repairing... So I guess you need to "pick a side" lol... Or maybe make a calculated compromise.

    Good luck.

Fun fact, those little mud flaps are called "Spat" they help with aerodynamics deflecting wind around the tires to help with fuel economy.
