As I'm waiting to afford the bigger stuff like my ultimate lift kit and shackles I just do small mods to keep me from going crazy. The stereo system I'm doing tapped me for a bit but I hope to do a lift and 34's this June. Soon I may tackle the black out of my headlights and chrome grill.

Updated with a few more pics.

Well, I've had the Hypertech Interceptor for the last three months and it's great, but I'm thinking about selling it to help finance my lift. It may be the first thing I put on the for sale boards. We shall see.

    Plasti-dipped and lowered!
I dig the paracord handles! About how many feet per handle do you reckon you used?

Thanks, I bought the good stuff and used two packages but can't remember exactly how much was in each package. I want to say total I used about 50ft.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Next is a 3 inch ultimate lift. And my own custom built bumpers and skids. I've been in welding school for 2 years now and I'm taking my last class now. I'm a desk jockey, but this will be a side business that I hope may take over my income.

Oh there is a little more ahead or the lift. First I did finish my sound system install. However I sent back the lc7i I bought and got a new head unit. Dirty radio signal got amplified with the stock head unit and I would recommend anyone without a nice stock nav or touchscreen just do yourself a favor and get a new head unit. Along with the lc7i going back I took out the bass knob because I couldn't use it with my amps. Hear is a pic of my head unit and ill detail the components I used in the first build post. Also ill be using a button in its place for a front camera im installing. Ive ot everything wired and the camera bought, but just deciding on the swit to use.

Ok, updated with a list and links to everything I used for the upgrade. Maybe it will help someone with what they will need. I will say one thing, I love the sub, but may change to two 10's and try and build the box myself some day. If I do that I'll put the 12 and box up for sale here. It's made with 5/8 mdf and fiberglassed inside for strength. They guy who made it for me took the sub specs I gave him specifically for that sub and built the box to fit it and the slim space for my crewmax. It ran me 175 shipped. Probably the coolest sub box I've ever owned.

Well with your attention to detail I'm sure your welding will be top notch! I just wish you lived in PA in case you wanted to do some custom work with a 14'. The stock skid plate on the 14' TRD is not what I was hoping it would be.

Thanks man, I hope it is. Yeah the skit plate is more like a 'stop some pebbles from jumping up in my motor plate'.

TruckyTruck How do you wrap the cord and get it to stay and hide the ends?

You gotta wrap it tight but not so tight you can't pull it under itself. I used a lighter on the ends so it wouldn't fray. In step c, you pull and the loop at the top will tuck itself and one end under the wrap. Cut the other end off close and just push it under the wrap.

I originally did it, because someone at the dealership got a pen mark on one I guess when they were getting in or something. And I was afraid my dear old moms hand would slip when she would climb up in the truck. Not to mention it looks awesome.

You should start a separate DIY thread for the Paracord wrapped handles. Might be helpful for others wanting to do it to easily find it and not clutter up your build too much :)
