I run an ARB dual with two 3 gallon tanks. It’s almost just as fast as co2. I made the switch because I got tired of having to fill the tank plus I will need on board air to support my future lockers. I still carry a 10 lb tank as backup

Damnit! I completely forgot about this! Everything turn out ok Tony? If you need a limo ride in SF, let me know. And by limo, I mean a Toyota Tundra. Double cab.

I use Boulder as well, but have used the ARB in the past and it seems way faster and more accurate.

I got Boulder but failed to test before that last run. :facepalm:Got out the gauge to discover there was a munufacturers error; the red needle is mounted so the outer tip is on the right side of the stop at 0 (it's supposed to rest on the left, then move clockwise when measuring air pressure.) Gotta see if Boulder helps me replace just that gauge; or else I'll have to do a return on the entire kit to Amazon.

    :spy:
    I have this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CDW2MCM

    The Good:
    It is very affordable;

and plugs into the 12v cig-type outlets in the front and back of the Tundra (as opposed to the clips that attach to the battery. Those don't seem faster to me, so I chose this and am happy.) Double check that it will fill 35's-- but I'm pretty sure it does as that was one of my clselection criteria.

It is very small and fits in under-seat storage, or an undercover swing case, or an off-roading "go bag" (after it cools off).

If you research other cheap options, read reviews closely for info on how far the lines can reach! This is the 3rd of these cheap compressors I bought-- the first two (not ViAir) could not reach from the cig plug aadapter to each tire. This one does easily.

This will push air continuously to fill all 4 of my tires (I usually air down to 22, then back up to 40 or 44, but I have stock 33's) without having to cycle/rest... and fill 2 other Tundra tires parked next to me. That's the most I've tried at one go so far. Makes me comfortable that it will fill your 4 35's without needing to cycle.

In case you can't tell, I like it!

    Bad Stuff:
It gets very hot (don't touch the main body, hot) so I can't pack it away right after use. I put it in the truck bed to cool on the drive home, then store it.

This is very slow compared to air tanks or high-dollar compressors like the twin ARB with tanks that @Porschetech29 has. This doesn't bother me because, so far, my dirt playmates haven't let on that it's a problem. In most cases, we split up or into small groups when we get back to pavement (leaving camp at BB might have been an exception if everyone rolled out together for the remaining dirt.) If I'm finished first, I help air-up someone that's not, and visa versa. Maybe our more experienced off-roaders that go out with different groups can tell you if this is outside accepted off-roading etiquette. If I were rolling with a fast crew (SGU or BASTRD's), I'd up my game, but (you and-?)I'm not there yet-- several other mods and rings to buy first.

FWIW, the reason I bought such a cheap-ass compressor is 1. I know I'll replace it with a bad-ass ARB with tanks-- but can't get enough use just airing up tires to make that worth the money now. A locker and a fridge, worth it. 2. It's very small, easy to move between vehicles, and can be a back-up for any I get in the future. Plus... did I mention, it's cheap, it works, and it fits in the small storage area in the Tundra. :)

The truck must be running, which is true for all compressors, I think. If you want to air up away from a power source, get an air tank.

I thought yours was awesome when you did it's inaugural airing-up of my Tundra :D.

But it's true, if I spend ARB money, I'll want tanks so it's quick!

    Someday!!

My 20 lbs CO2 bottle(aluminum) + fix regulator + hose = $200. It last me more than two camping trip air up tires and blowing all the dust b4 setting up the tent in the truck bed.

    ^ I usually pay ~$25 for a 10 pound tank at Keg n Bottle.

I've heard welding supply shops will fill them for less.

I pay about $25-28 to exchange tanks at Airgas. Been going to my local one for awhile and the guys usually hook me up with an aluminum tank.

I think it would benefit you in the long run to use the shortest hose possible while still being functional
