Could you possibly tell me where the camshaft position sensor is located in the timing cover?

Thanks, it’s not in the timing cover assuming you have vvi those sensors under the valve covers control it. I’m not sure how it is on older 4.7s. I’d suggest posting this in our general discussion area so someone more knowledgeable than me can answer it.

Any chance you will share some more info about your shackle setup? I looked for rear shackle hanger for an f550 and turned up parts for an f450 that looked the same but I don't know if they share same dimensions. Also I couldn't easily find a universal shackle that looked similar. I saw your thread on yota tech and searching lead me here. Thanks in advance. Great looking truck. Nice to see someone who wanted 4 real doors like me!

I can’t say that f450 hangers are the same for sure but if it’s a straight frame chassis like a 550 I bet there the same. As far as shackles go I can’t remember the brand but as long as you get a set that are the proper with for the hanger and spring
You should be fine. Low range off-road and ruff stuff both make good shackle kits for custom suspensions. Also keep in mind that your ride height will change by half of the difference in shackle length (a 1” longer shackle only creates a 1/2” of lift because your only moving one side of the spring).

Any chance I can get you to check some measurements? The part I'm finding for f450 has all the dimensions. It looks damn accurate and I have had zero luck searching for the same for f550. I don't know much about Ford part searching though if I'm being honest.

    https://www.truckspring.com/products/leaf-spring-hanger/ford-f450-M1914.aspx

That's the part I found and it's diagrammed pretty thoroughly.

Copy. Thanks. Did u have to use any spacers/thick washers to make it all jive since the tundra springs are 2.25" wide from what I understand?

Thanks so much for the info. It's nice to see some ingenuity instead of just swiping the credit card for the pre made stuff. You truck is one of a kind. I liked it a lot and then it looks like you painted it red. Now I like it 2x as much. I'm sure this won't be the last of the questions.
    Thanks

There “China” brand from Amazon made for a 2007 body style tundra. I had to heat / reshape them to fit the wheel wells and do some cutting on the bottoms.

Did this afford you more tire clearance or did you just hate the way the bubble flares look?
