    After waiting a month for all the parts to show up and UPS delivering my leafs to a wrong address. They are here! Gonna install this weekend. Probably won’t be able to finish all of it, but at least do either front or rear. For the people who have done this before. Which is the hardest so I can do that first? Thanks. Will post pics after install.

    I was going to get them custom painted but damn the price tag got real high real quick. But the blue is sick. We’ll see how it looks with my inferno color. The Alcans are pretty beefy compared to my stock leafs.

    Nice Tunny goodies. Those SPC's are great. Most adjustable of all the uca's out there. Will definitely get a perfect alignment.

    That’s what I’m hoping for. Don’t want to do a CMC yet..... I know I will have to when I go to 37s but I am patiently waiting for the 5.29 gears to come out. Don’t want to do the 4.88s when I know I’m going 37s. Already have the CMC plates from relentless. I was going to buy TC arms and swap out uniball for the Icon delta joint retrofit, but shit is not cheap and I wanted to have the alignment right as it does see a lot of street driving.

    6CE6282F-5C97-450C-93EC-BF2767E054AA.jpg Oh ya. The stock pro bilstein shocks, CB shims and +3 shackles will be up for sale when I’m done with the swap out. I have 5 Fuel hostage wheels with 33x12.5r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers for sale. Offset is +18 with a 5.75” backspace. Spare has never been used and replaced two of the tires 7000 miles ago before my trip. So if anyone is interested let me know. I’m in the Bay Area. No rubbing if you have a stock pro. Just remove front mud flap. The shims and shackles are new. Put them on then found out my leafs were flat. Then went nuts with plastic thing in my wallet.

    I've never done the suspension on a Tundra, but done many Tacoma suspensions. Both the front and rear have their own interesting challenges.

    The front end:
    The coilover swap is cake, especially since you're installing new UCAs.
    I'd separate the UCA from the spindle first (note: when doing this leave the nut partially threaded on, this way when the ball joint separates from the spindle parts don't move too far too fast. You'll most likely need a sledge to hit the side of the spindle to separate the two)

    After that you can pull the stock coilover assembly rather easily.

    Then remove the stock UCAs. (On a tacoma you need to pry the inner fender out of the way for the long uca through bolt to be removed, hopefully you dont need to on the tundra. If so, get some big ass channel locks to bend it, but also be conscious of any wiring behind there so you don't grab it with the pliers)

    Put new coilovers in, then new ucas, bolt all that shit up and appreciate your new front end!

    The rear end:
    Only un-bolt one side at a time, it helps to keep the axle in place and not moving all around.
    Stock leafs are easy to remove, but getting the new leafs lined up can be annoying. A floor jack under the axle on the side you're working on will assist in getting everything lined up.
    Whenever the leafs aren't cooperating instinct will vote use muscles, but it's much easier to step back for a minute, look over what needs to be done and use tools to manipulate shit.
    I also find it the easiest to get the new leafs in the right area being held like a frown face, and once you're under there to flip them to a smile and drop the centering pin into it's home. Then you can line up the front mount, and end with the shackle side.


    Idk which side it harder, but I usually start with the front end myself.
    (hopefully the process and all is the same and carries over from the little yota to the big yota)

    Sweet. Thank you for the info and advice. I appreciate it. I took apart the front before but never replaced leafs so this should be fun. I have multiple jacks and all tools necessary for the job.

    I’m all about taking your time and do it right the first time around. I write things down and triple check as I am usually on cloud 420 at home so I tend to forget things here and there.

    Not sure what they used to cost but is $1200 fair? They have 62950 miles on them. I drive slow when I wheel but will probably be changing that. Ha ha. I don't dog my vehicles as they cost me an arm and leg as I bought it new and close to 20k or more in parts and accessories. So I can imagine there in good shape.     So is that a fair price? Don’t want to over charge for the parts. The rims and tires will be 1200 as well. Not sure what people sell these for as I don’t usually sell car parts. Just want to get some money back, but want to be realistic. This and my 2011 IS350 f sport are my first Toyota/Lexus vehicles and I don’t plan on trading or selling them at all. No more chevy or fords again for me. Toyota/Lexus are my go to brand.

    I forgot which thread it was on, but 4.88s are ok for 35s and 5.29s for 37s to get your power back to stock with all added weight from outlanding gear and bigger Tires. When you add bigger tires you lose power. I don’t know all the specific reasons why but I’m sure someone will answer that for you.

    Thanks. Can’t wait to break it in and go wheeling. My truck hasn’t been on the road since I did my cross country road trip from Cali to Yellowstone to Moab to miami the. Back to Cali. Coast to coast. That’s when I flattened my leafs. Had way too much weight in the back and both yetis full of ice and food at the end of my bed up against the tail gate. Won’t do that again. Next will be a full extension bed slide.

    I have a master tech at Toyota willing to help me out with that. Not sure if he’s played with SPCs as he is a Jeep guy, but at least he knows his shit. So we’ll see what he says and see if he can do it. If not, anybody know of a reputable place to get something like that done in the Bay Area? I could go back to California concepts. They did my front and rear ARB lockers and it works for me every time. The work that they have done for me in the past has been great. They did the lockers about 7 months ago.

    Mine started to flatten on a Mountain bike trip to St George. I had gear and three bikes and I was sagging. Couldn't handle it and didn't want airbags, don't believe in going half ass. Alcan springs are the shit, and get the job done! I should get some camburg shackles next.

    I’m not sure which bushings I got, but I was thinking about using the CB poly bushing I have. Has anyone tried this?
