    Howdy,
I'm Bob, I've had 4 no 6 pickups in my 50 some odd years. '84 B2000. '78 Bonanza (totaled...twice, tracked down the road sideways. I hear it's still serving a landscaping business in GA). '95 GMC, '97 GMC and an '03 GMC that I just retired after getting 210,000 miles and 15 years service out of it. It developed a lifter rattle and my mechanic said buy a new truck. Pretty bad when the mechanic doesn't want to take your money anymore.

So for years I've said the next truck I get would be a Tundra so...after searching a bit I found the used ones are going or as much as the new ones so...I bought new.

    20180903_141002.jpg

    '18 SR5 Crewmax with 5.7 motor 2x4. Never had a need for 4x4.

I say I bought my last truck, I fully intent to get 20+ years out of this truck.

I'll be using this as a highway cruiser but the first things I need are a new tool box (old one is just too ugly to go on this truck) and some running boards/ nerf bar.

What's y'alls opinion about frame mount verse rocker mount running boards?

Welcome, sir. Congrats on the new rig -- great lookin' truck!

I personally don't have any nerf steps/bars so I'll defer to my partners in crime for their input. Get ready :spending:...

Welcome from CO Bob. I bought my 07 four years ago. Only 92K + miles. My last truck for sure....unless @Marty McFly comes up with a Tunny that flies thru time.....

Welcome from San Diego. If you plan on using the truck as a highway cruiser then frame mounted/ sliders may be overkill. You can get a nice pair of OEM take offs for really cheap.

Excellent color choice. It's the fastest one.

That's about the only thing the people here get to talk about regularly because our trucks are so reliable there's nothing to complain about. So we bicker about which color is fastest, which of course is white.

3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
Welcome to the group, love your choice, great color too. I got my bed cover used it was 2 days old, fender flares used, tires were take offs, and the truck was 1/2 price so I started with a deal from the beginning. I love my truck in every way, enjoy driving it daily. 47555029-7A81-4DFD-A9E5-E0756C2D752C.jpg
