Went ahead and picked up another pack of MF cloths from Costco.

The ones I’ve had are 3+ years old and ruined in the wash. Still good enough to clean stuff around the house, but basically use them as any ordinary cloth, not like MF since the properties that make the MF useful have been destroyed by the dryer lol

    https://www.costco.com/Kirkland-Signature-Microfiber-Towel-Case,-324-count.product.100341124.html
(No, I didn’t buy an entire case..)

The costco ones are great for what they are and the price (36 for $15, 80/20, high pile and low pile sides, 16”x16”)
The edges are sewn, not silk or anything. Mind the edges on paint (fold the towel so they aren’t exposed) if you’re worried about it, but they’ll be great for interior detailing, windows, etc IMO

One tip. Wash them first. They have some of the loose fibers from the manufacturing process strait out of the package. Also, removing the tag tears the sewing (they are not soft tags, nor are they perforated or otherwise prepared for removal), which will cause the towel to fall apart and shed fibers onto whatever your using it to clean. Compared to the last batch I bought these tags are HUGE! I’ll probably cut them down a bit and just be mindful of that corner of the cloth when using it (have it folded to the inside).

Mostly this review is from the last batch I bought, and the quality seems to be the same on these. I’ll comment again after I use them - they are in the wash now (fresh out of the package, shaken off, then tossed in)...

Anyone have any other thoughts on these?

I just got some a couple of weeks ago. They are very good towels for the price. I have been using them for everything except the paint on my truck.

Tried out megs ultimate quik wax today.
Not too bad at all, especially for $8 .
Can probably do the truck 3 or 4 times with a bottle.
    Review... https://www.tundras.com/threads/spray-wax-detailer-recommendations.29590/page-2#post-744577

Also I found an old bucket I cleaned and mounted on a garage shelf to use as a microfiber "hamper". That way I can keep them all together and wash all at once when full.... it was full today from the last two washes and detail jobs. Into the wash they go

I’ve read that it’s best to use towels for one purpose only, mark corner with “G” for glass etc. chemicals can get impregnated even after washing.

    You use that Bead maker?
I'm thinking I'll grab a bottle and also the aqua wax and do a side by side.
Its time I contribute something here

Starting to dip into the teens at night here so I moved everything from my cold garage to warm basement. I'll still get a few washes in, but I dont want my products to freeze.

First attempt with my Amazon MATCC foam cannon for karcher power washer. Worked better than expected once I figure out the adjustments and setting. 2 oz of CG maxisuds2 and topped off with warm water.

Then did a coat of hydro2 mixed at 6:1 which left the finish kinda of foggy. I think I should have gone 10:1. Ended up going over the whole truck with a mix of ech2o and reload to eliminate the fog. Came out okay but wish I had some beadmaker to apply , i have a gallon in the mail right now.
The plastics, wheels, and tires need some attention but I ran out of time and energy so I just hit them quick with 303 instead of my usual waxaddict tyre feeder.
Also the truck definitely needs to be clayed and buffed out before too long. I could feel some rough spots and found plenty of swirls and micro scratches that need attention. Hope to get around to that in May. I have several options as far as buffing, megs 205, scholls s20 black, jescar powerlock (actually isnt that a sealant?) not sure which one I should use. Maybe all 3 in stages, then do hydro2 and beadmaker on top. We shall see how the products work.

Looking good! Glad you enjoyed it.

Powerlock is a sealant. In my experience, it’s best on its own. Beadmaker doesn’t seem to bond with it well. A lot of people put Collinite on top of it, but I didn’t see any noticeable benefit from doing so.

Now that you mention it I remember you doing a test with it. I may use it when u have some time. The hydro2 and beadmaker combo is just so easy and so slick, it's hard to stray away from it.

The only thing I use Powerlock on is the wife’s Sequoia. For some reason it makes that MGM pop like crazy.

Will do! There are some scratches too that o need to buff out. Her car will be the Guinea pig for some new pads and the meds 205.
I'll also try the 205 on my paint as well as the scholls s20 black which I have read amazing things about and got a little sample from my buddy Steve. My paint needs some help, even after a full decon and detail last summer. I didn't get it sealed well enough, while I still had water beading well, I got some junk in the paint and it needs some work.
I've got some IronX,eraser, beadmaker and other goodies on their way, then all I need is time. I'll do what I did last year plus some extra.
    Wash
    IronX
    Rinse
    Clay mitt
    Wash and Dry
DA with 205 and scholls s20
    Buff
    Eraser
Then decide on a sealant, last year I did reload, this year I may do hydro2 and beadmaker. Then keep up with the beadmaker. Also considering a jeweling step before the hydro2, maybe some carpro essense.

Ordered some essense and some MF cutting pads from detailed image. Got some freebies as always from them. Also got some pad cleaner and brush. I have built up a decent pad collection so I should be good to go. Last year I tried doing my truck with 2 pads, that didn't work out so well.
BTW..The essence I got is the gloss enhancer which goes on BEFORE a coating or sealant. They have a product called essence+, which should be renamed because it goes on after a coating. Almost made that mistake.

Looking for a place to order some waxaddict tyre dressing, the orginal stuff. Found the waxaddict usa site but its $20 a bottle plus 9 shipping. If I order 5 bottles it's free shipping.
@War Machine @SouthBoundSteve @driverdog @briarpatch have you found something as good as the waxaddict tyre feeder for less? Or have a better place to buy? Or wanna split an order of 5 or 6 with me lol. Its the best I've found but damn is it pricey now.

    This is my new favorite:

    https://www.theragcompany.com/optimum-tire-protection-coating-tpc/

It’s going to cost about as much as a bottle of Waxaddict, but it lasts longer, and you can always find some more things from TRC to meet shipping. They also run sales pretty regularly.

I do think I have several bottles of Waxaddict if you’re intent on it. I could send you some.

How do you like the Optimum tire Coating? There's a Youtube video on the 'Pan the Organizer' channel with Ivan Lacroix, the VP of Optimum, actually applying the product. In the video, they said they cleaned and degreased the tire with Optimum Power Clean at full strength. What did you use to clean the tires prior to application and how many times did it take you to get them completely clean?
