It's definitely tasty with the flavors of ripe fig, coffee, and sweet chocolate. I know that they use a ridiculous amount of figs and is seasonal. I believe the the brewery limits customers to 2 stouts per visit because of the alcohol content. Coos Bay, Oregon

I'm gonna have to try and find it. I have a buddy that works for a distributor here in Ohio I'll have to see if he can't find those.
[IMG]This was pretty good and just a very little hint of orange in the aftertaste, but coffee and chocolate as well.
Think it was higher octane. I want to say 10%

I might try. Southern Tier does make some good beers that I've had. Their Pumking is my favorite pumpkin beer that I buy the 22's by the case and their wheat IPA is also very good and drinkable, not a ton of hops, they seem to dehydrate me pretty hard. Lagunanitas and Stone are examples of those IPA's.

My fallback beer. I love craft beer, but when I just need a sixer and a good movie or a good bud, this is how I do it. Straight from south Louisiana baby!!image.jpg

It's a pretty good summer beer. I'm not a fan of fruit based beer, but you should try Shiner Ruby Red. Good for a day bbq outing. Not too light or too heavy. That's what me and my buddy drank when we were working on my lift. (Yes, I'm aware a half ton truck on jack stands and beer doesn't mix, but.....I didn't die! ) :taco::locked::jellydance::kona::dancingbacon::broccoli::bananadance:

Where'd you get the coffee stout? I'd love to give that a shot.
Hmm, you're not from South Louisana by any chance are you? Haven't heard anyone other than Louisianians drinking Abita

Nope, Northern Ohio and a local wine bar that also serves craft beer was have a food pairing, mostly cajun style foods. I got to try it there. I was down in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl several years ago and tried Abita and liked it. So when I see Abita I try it.
