For anything significant and reliable, supercharger kits are $6k.

Superchargers will give you the most noticeable hp upgrade that you can find. Other than that, anything else will be minimal at best. Now, as far as, hp upgrade is concerned, it is also totally dependent on what you’re trying to accomplish. Do you want hp for off-roading, or for racing? Do you want hp for burning tires, or do you want hp for pulling a 50’ boat? Questions like that will first need to be answered by you, before anything else can be recommended. Do you follow?

49hp/89tq can be had from JBA long tubes, mid-pipes, and true dual exhaust from Dirty Deeds Industries.

HP Tuners has a tune for our trucks, but not sure when it’s available.

Best bang for your dollar is full exhaust.

No. That’s borderline worthless. The truck goes to 100% throttle with a lot less pedal input. The rest is just to make you feel good. It’s all based on calculated load. If our trucks were cable throttle body, this would make sense, but we are drive by wire, so no need.

Because your options were piggyback systems. Not an actual viable tuning option with the large change that comes from a camshaft that’s worth the effort. Keep in mind we have 4 cams. So cost is significant compared to an LS motor platform. So this will put guys off from the get-go. Couple this with the fact that doing a cam swap on a 3UR requires the entire top end and front timing cover to come off, it’s not as easy as a 4 hr job as it is on an LS.

The piggyback systems are a bandaid at best. There is only so much you can do with signal interruption before it just becomes a hassle and inaccurate. Now that HPTuners has announced an option for live tuning, keep your eyes peeled for actual mods coming up in the future.

Maximum power that the short block can handle is 600hp. Which you can easily push on a Maggie.

I wouldn’t do a Harrop without building the bottom end first.

Am facing an issue with my 2017 Tundra platinum. I have installed MG supercharger short headers with TRD daul exhaust and TRD Cold Air intake the car in dyno came 380 hp only which am not pleased but as far i heared its because of the wheels 20x12 which am ok if thats main issue . But since i recieved the car am facing an issue . which is the car is so heavy with the supercharger and from 50 km pushing the gas i see its not as super what should do ..and it cuts then opens again . Ist from TRD cold intake or ist from the short headers i refuses the long tube because its to noisy . Or ist the fuel pump which i need to upgrage it which lots of people told me that you dont need because the car is brand new only 5000 km . Can you pls sir tell me what should i do . You’re facing an issue that a lot of guys face with blowers. Magnussen’s cal is meant for the masses, so it’s very very safe. I’d guarantee that that AFs are conservative and timing increase is minimal. The biggest detriment to blowers is heat. With HPTuners releasing support, you’ll soon be able to go to any tuner and get on a dyno to modify the Calibration and make more power. Once you get serious and you start to add timing, I’d recommend you look into methanol injection. It’s effectively moisture to cool off IATs when the blower gets heat soaked. Either that or an additional water-to-air cooler. Regardless, pull down the IAT temps and your world will open up in regards to power. Cooler temps means more timing, which means you can go to a smaller pulley to push more air and therefore more fuel, ultimately more power.

Problem is, nothing is out on the market right now that gives you this ability. I’ve posted before, but the DAP tune is the only thing supposedly available, but that guy won’t give up, at least to me, what he’s doing. With other companies coming to the tuning market support for Toyota, things are about to get rowdy!

I’ve seen that build, it’s badass. The shop that built it is ~2hrs from me. Problem is, he went Halltech ECU, meaning stand-alone. Basically rewiring the entire engine bay harness to feed an aftermarket ecu and deleting the factory stuff.

I have installed MG supercharger short headers with TRD daul exhaust and TRD Cold Air intake the car in dyno came 380 hp only which am not pleased but as far i heared its because of the wheels 20x12 which am ok if thats main issue . But since i recieved the car am facing an issue which is the car is so heavy with the super and from 50 km pushing the gas i see its not as super what should do and it cuts then opens again . Ist from TRD cold intake or ist from the short headers i refuses the ling times because irs to noisy . Or ist the fuel pump which i need to upgrage it which lots of people told me that you dont need because the car is bran new only 5000 km . Can pls sir tell me what should i do .
Sor i wanna ask you about AEM Fuel pump for tundra will make a big difference with mG superchargeror or just install the oem or lexus 570 fuel pump because its not worth it

    None, yet....
This is a very loaded question, but I will reply to the best of my abilities. Changing a pump without being able to control anything else, will just be wasted money. Our trucks run a return style system with pulse width modulation on the fuel pump. So, if you have the same duty cycle on the injectors and don't increase pressure in any way, putting a new pump in there that flows more volume just means that more fuel will get cycled through the entire system and back to the pump. Effectively, no change. This is assuming that the stock pump can keep up with the volume it flows. Does Magnuson recommend a pump change? Only reason for this would be if they stock one can't keep up with the fuel demand on the new cal based on the increase of injector duty cycle, but they should specify with their kit if so.

Once HPT is fully available for our trucks, you can take this to a dyno to have it tuned and as the tuner is adding timing and injector duty cycle, he can give you an idea if you will end up needing a higher volume pump. This is based off of his ability to maintain desirable AFs as they continue to change the load cell at that specific engine running condition.

Very fair questuion so i think i will keep oem tundra no need spend on it one more think since your the expert i will move out the old cold TRD intake and thinking should go for AIDAIR intake or k&n or other company if there is for my MG supercharger plus i will shorten the superchargerbully so from ur oponion which is better air intake the trd wasnt good in dyno with the MG super charger.
