    @dradd we decided were just doing hotdogs for the meet up so no need for a pig cooker, but if you dont mind being the chef on a propane grill were bringing, we would really appreciate it

    Steam them first and then add a little char for the extra flavor. Get you some good Chicago style dogs to start with.

    Do you have any suggestions for a Chicago style that does not include artificial colors, artificial flavors, fillers and nitrates?

    If you want to steam your own hot dog then bring it to me for some char, I can do that.

    I would like everyone to know I am not a grill master, chef or any type of specialty food preparer. In fact, I may burn myself :bananadead: and/ or some of the food. Prepare to be disappointed. I am just volunteering to run the grill.

    So far the event has developed alittle. We will be having hot dogs, chips and drinks provided by @BayRunner and I. The hotdogs are going to be expertly cooked by @dradd. I've talked to Heartywood and they're good with us coming but they dont take reservations unless you put down a good chunk of money (250 per hour plus either $200 or 20% of group total, which ever is greater) but they said we can just come in and grab a bunch of tables and put them together however we see fit if theres tables that are free. It's a big place so I dont see an issue with getting free tables. So I think it's a good option so we will have our meet and greet and detailing event at @BayRunner location from 10-2 (this will be posted on first post, for location needs) and will transfer festivities to Heartywood's West Creek location

    Yeah. I've tried calling around and most hotels wouldn't do a block rate since were alittle over a month out. So it's on your own for hotel reservations but if you want to try to group up and get a few rooms reserved. It's up to you. I'll be making a flyer this week to have all the details for the events so I can have it posted early this coming week.

    If you do know you are coming to the event, and your name is not on the first post, please let me know so I can update our names list and have a more accurate head count

    Still haven't seen much about what to bring, paper plates, utensils, etc.
    I can throw a couple of folding tables in the back, always have four bags chairs and a tabletop grill back there.
    Also haven't seen much about games. I'll put two cornhole boards and a ladder ball game in the truck just in case.
    We'll be staying at some friends house about 3 miles from Hardywood. They won't be there but said we could stay anyway. My wife asked if we could have the afterparty there with about 20 people we don't know. They said, simply, "no".:(

    Just saw the extended forecast, six days of no rain. The guy said if it holds it will be the longest non rain stretch since the first day of summer. :fingerscrossed:

    Okay anyone planning on going to the Virginia Meet-up on September 22, are cordially invited to a Pre-meet over a cup of coffee(coffee- chat)

    Duration we will be there is 1 to 1 1/2 hours beginning @2:00 PM this Sunday August 26, 2018 at the WAWA near Mount Trashmore at intersection of Holland Road and Independence. 4377 Holland Road Virginia Beach, VA 23462. There is a large parking lot adjacent to the WAWA that should have plenty of room to accommodate The Best Trucks ever built.

    The purpose will be to informally meet and be able to discuss joining a caravan for the Richmond event.

    We will probably do another Coffee-Chat again before the September 22nd date.

    :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

    Totally up to you Jim. Personally I do not use a pressure washer for the truck and think it's a bit overkill unless heavy soil is present. I am planning on bringing my hose mounted foam gun which works fairly well.
