2016 Supercharger

This question is for someone who knows the warranty. I bought 2016 CM SR5 4x4 few weeks ago. Since then I had the dealer install TRD Dual Exhaust. According to the dealer here in Dallas TX are, any TRD product installed by a dealer WILL BE warranted under your warranty. When I bought my truck, I purchased the extended 5yr/90K bumper to bumper. TRD Supercharger for 2016 should be released around October according to a delaer. I am getting mixed info from different dealers. Some say Yes it will be covered and some say yes BUT only the frist Factory 3yr 36K ONLY. Can someone here clerify this? This is also for Lift kits and other mods INSTALLED by a dealer.....

 

I'm shocked you got a dealer to say any new super charger will be covered. TRD quit making the super charger a few months ago. Magnuson is making them now and I was not aware they worked something out with Toyota?

I was under the impression Toyota would support 2015's and older with super chargers but 2016's could not get a TRD super charger

 

When you say factory, are you talking about the 3yr/36K or including the extended warranty of 5yr/90K?
As for the 2016 SC, I did get an inside scoop on it that they are suppose to release towards the end of 3rd or at the beginning of 4th Q.
Just out of curiosity, will the 2015 SC work on 2016 5.7 with flex?

 

I'd like to know who gave you this info all the Toyota reps I talked to say Toyota will not be releasing a tune for the 2016. The TRD super charger is the same for all years it's the tune that's the problem and I'm told Toyota is not making one for the 2016+ Tundra. So we're stuck with the Magunson when and if they ever come out with it for the 2016. Unless your dealer is talking about the Magunson because that's what I here from them the tune for the 2016 should be out later this year.

If this is a sure thing that Toyota is coming out with a TRD tune for the 5.7 TRD super charger I'm buying one today!
