1UPPER’s 17 CM SC Platinum Custom Build

I originally wanted to go with the bare carbon for my tailgate. After seeing it in person I changed my mind. I ordered the gel coated carbon Tundra letting. Here you can see a side by side comparison of the two.

 

Anyone who has the Amp research steps knows the little leds that come with the kit aren’t very bright. They also tend to loose there adhesive backing on them. So I decided to install these instead. I like that they come in a aluminum housing that can be screwed as well as have the 3m tape. They are also RGB if you want to change your step lighting. They shipped today. So I should see them by the weekend. The kit comes with two 4’ led strips and two spare 3’ led strips. The whole kit was $99. I’ll post some pics after I get them installed. Good thing I have a 240amp alternator for all my lights. Lol

Here you can see my all my rear facing brake lights. No excuses if someone says they didn’t see my brakes. Lol

I got my pro comp traction bars installed today.

 

My new flex PE8-4 80 polisher and all my accessories came in today! It will be nice to have a polisher that can use 3”,2” & 1” pads for those small and hard to get details areas. The polishers only weights 4lbs. Looking forward to the cooler weather so I can use both my Flex XC 3401 VRG & PE8-4 80 to detail the vehicles.

I decided to buy the S&B cold air intake. I know most people say they don’t make any difference. I wanted to try and see for myself. If it even makes a .25-.5 mpg difference I’ll be happy. Plus I’ve heard they do make a difference on the sound of the truck. I guess time will tell me soon enough.

 

I got my smoked Klearz side reflector lenses in today for my 18 headlights.

 

That's gonna look so good. I'd love to do it but afraid to crack them open

 

Thank you! I’m going have a retrofitter do them. I’m trying to verify with a few suppliers on some possible new products that may release by the end of this year for the 18 headlights. I know what I want but I need them to be manufactured first.

 

I've been waiting to see what folks will do to retro the 18 headlights. I haven't seen anyone touch 'em yet, can't wait to see what you come up with.

 

I’ve seen a few guys paint them and add switchback drls. But I want to do a few small changes. Planning my retro ideas first though.

 

I got my center organizer for my truck today. Sometimes it’s the small things that get used the most.

Time for that nice 3" exhaust?

 

Almost. Actually a buddy was selling his truck. So he gave me his cat back corsa exhaust. It sounds mean!! Still want to do the true dual 3” exhaust. Just a good system for the time being.

 

Nice friend! That was the only other system I was considering before deciding to go with the Dirty!

 

I’ll get some sound videos of it. The start up is incredible! Supposed to have no drone. I’ll find out tomorrow for test drive. Still have more parts to install in the morning.

 

I've heard that system and it's one of the best I've heard. You know.... if you're ever inclined to get rid of it...... just mentioning it for a friend......

 

I'm glad I went with the Corsa. In normal driving it sounds mellow but when you get on it the sound really wakes up. It is 100% drone free!
