So I've been looking at the forums, and I saw pros and cons to the Sylvania Waxes & Treatments Headlight Restoration Kit. Was wondering if it actually worked. My headlights aren't the worst but they definitely need to be restored. I was also wondering where I could get a replacement front bumper as well as a short "stubby" antenna.

I used the 3M headlight restoration once. It actually worked quite well, just gotta keep up them with waxing after to treat them.

Not sure on the front bumper part but check out AntennaX. They have several antenna options. But you also risk possibly losing some service. If you live in/by a big city you probably wouldn’t notice an issue.

Not worried about the reception as I do live in the city and prefer to play music off of my phone, but thanks! And do you know if clear coating would make them last longer?

Sylvania headlight restoration kit. Hands down the best DIY kit, IMHO. Brought wife's '05 Mazda headlights back to day-one condition. Then I used the WeatherTech headlight covers so no need to continue re-polishing and reapplying the UV clear coat. There's a reason it's rated #! by Consumer Reports...consumers believe it is the best.

Thanks, Trooper2. I bought the Meguiar's product this past weekend...glad you liked the results.

I read the instructions...seemed easy enough. Any additional instructions you can offer?

I've used the 3M product on several cars, always looked much better. I think they went to a kit with a packet of clear coat, before it was rubbing compound.

If you have a polisher this stuff works great!
I know it's not called headlight restore but has worked great for me every time better than the stuff made to restore them.

I've used the 3M headlight restoration kit for my T100, I like it, does the job, haven't had to use yet on the Tundra

Bought the 3M kit years ago (sanding pad for drill with varying grit paper and multiple liquid compounds) for $30. It worked ok and lasted a year then the yellow dullness came back again. Did the process again with a lesser result than first time. Too much work for the diminishing return.

Ended up buying 2 new lens for $50 and they are holding up very well for 5 years now. The newer crystal clear acrylics are a better formula/longevity than the older stuff. New lens took less time than that 3M method!

Professional Hand Model - where did you get the lens? $50 for the pair?

5 years ago and believe it was Rockauto? Even came with bulbs! No way you’d get that deal today. Just the lens are at best $89, but there is a better selection in terms of the darkness variations not available 5 years ago.

You could wet sand and polish them. Then apply a clear lacquer over the lens. Likely will work better and last longer than restore kits.

This is what's in the Sylvania system's box. Polish then liquid primer then wipe-on, self-leveling, UV resistant clear coat.
