Mine are chrome. I would like black or that brushed silver. I was thinking of painting mine because a new set of 4 black ones is about $100. Thought about a trade but then someone has no door handles for a while lol.
Do you think theres a market for the chrome ones if I did replace them? And has anyone painted theirs? If so how did they hold up?

Do you have a link for the black interior doors handles? I've got the brushed silver handles and would like to have black.

If you go black Travis I'd be up for buying your silver ones.....I dont mind the silver if the price is right, prefer black but I can't spend that kinda money on news ones. I really just wanna ditch my chrome ones but not break the bank. But painting them kinda scares me since they get used a lot

I'll definitely let you know. Paint would definitely flake off the chrome over time.

Thanks man. You could recover some of the money you spend on black. Then maybe I can do the same and sell mine to a chrome lover a.k.a. unicorn lol

Oven cleaner and a scotch brite but have may be in my future. I bet the handles are black under the chrome. I think I recall even the back part of the handle is black

o_O Hmmm, maybe a mod that can be done without taking the door panel off? I'm really interested now.

That would certainly be nice but there are a lot of tight areas to get to.

I broke down and bought a set of 4 on ebay with the help of my PayPal balance rating a hole in my pocket. The chrome was killing me. They had black for $65 and the brushed silver was $100 so I went with black. They'll be here next week and I'll put them on one door at a time.
Planning on doing some sound deadening to rear doors soon too so I'll do it when the panels are off.
When these come on I'll sell my chrome ones here. Some chrome lover will want them :)
Or someone wanting to do something custom to them. They'd be cool with some LEDs in them or something

Much better. Quality seems ok. The red sticker looks cheap though. I might remove that.

I switched my chrome interior door handles out with silver aftermarket. I noticed the red lock sticker was cheap looking so before I installed, I swapped the OEM lock rocker onto the aftermarket handles. Small detail but they look better, the parts are a direct swap for anyone doing the switch.

It wouldn't be too bad because on the OEM handles you can remove the actual handle and even the chrome piece so you can paint just that. You would scuff it up. Spray with adhesion promoter then paint. Would look awesome

    I
I tried that, but the blacks were different color and gloss so ended up having to put the aftermarket one back on.
It was really easy to do. Only a few minutes per side. My buddy was gonna trade me his silver for my chrome and we decided against it thinking it would take too long, looking back it would have been the way to go
