Young mother with a baby in the white car, older couple in the yellow Subaru. Wife/passenger was killed on impact, it appeared.
I made the 911 call, got the mother to sit down and then got out of the way of the professionals.
    Crappy morning

That’s too bad. Sorry you had to see that man. But you did your duty as a human.
The Subaru looks to be in really bad shape it didn’t take it very well.

Puts a damper on everything. Life is so fragile. Lives changed forever in the blink of an eye.

I wonder if you are negligent and unimpaired, are you charged with “vehicular manslaughter”?

I think possible, do not hear of it often.

I think it should be considered more especially if proven person at fault was reckless or unnecessarily distracted; maybe by their phone.......

sorry you had to be there for it.

my wife was in a hospital waiting room yesterday when a family was told their family member just died. she was a bit out of sorts after that event.

older cars surely don't handle crashes well but then neither do older people. hope the child is OK.

Sorry you had to experience something like this. All though it’s tough to see it does make you appreciate how precious our time is. Good job on helping and calling for help. I saw a major accident earlier this year. Myself and another person were the only ones who stopped to render help while others just drive by taking photos. I think during the worst of situations you find out what kind of a person you really are. Glad you stopped to help them but sorry you had to see a fatal car crash.

@gosolo, I agree with @1UPPER - Good job on helping out, it takes a very brave person to walk out on an interstate and help someone in need.
People nowadays are more concerned with how much like's they get on Facebook/ Instagram / etc that they forget that there is a person in need of assistance and are just busy on the taking pictures or videoes. I am glad that you stopped and helped but sorry that you had to witness death, especially that condition's in which that you saw those couples in. Its good that you talking about it here or with anyone that'll give you a sense of relief.

I spent years doing work on the interstate highways and got lots of certs for traffic control as well as first aid. Saw plenty of shit and stupidity.
The biggest problem is usually just getting people to stay calm.
Not just the parties involved, but bystanders too.

That's terrible, and definitely shows how fast things can changed. Thoughts and prayers to all involved!
