Decided I did not want to use the $200 sliding system, so put these 2” d rings instead. Will see how it works.

I did a bunch of stuff on my 2nd gen today.

Project 1: Fold Down Rear Seats
    [IMG]

Project 2: Finally remove the Cancerous stock exhaust. I had to cut all four bolts at the flanges behind the cats. The Video here is with no muffler, exiting the stock pipes after the cats.
    https://imgur.com/8rcCeyX

Project 3: I got the Physical installation of my Demello plate bumper and Winch installed. I still have to complete all the wiring, and mount the Winch controller box. My first plan failed. But the bumper is on. Unfortunately project 2 sent me to the ER for stitches in my thumb, so I won't be completing the wiring until after I can unwrap my thumb so two or three days.

If you've got a double cab, here's the process.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/rear-seat-fold-down-mod.8153/

Only thing I'd add is, when you wedge your drill under that bar to remove the top Torx, double check the direction. I snapped one bolt off, when the drill went into DRIVE rather than REVERSE.

Damn man that sucks and I've been there before, with a skid plate bolt I think.

Finally got the new grill in and wired up. Only issue is the running light I tapped into is a tad dimmer than the other which gets my OCD going! Any fixes?

Switching to LED turn signals, with the CanBus adaptors might help
Alternately, tap both parking lights in parallel to run the three across the middle.

Finally got my magnetic pistol mount installed. The double sided tape probably would have held ok, but I installed a couple of screws for ease of mind. It isn't going anywhere.

Started my battle against chrome. Removed the grill cover that was on it (which is for sale if anyone's interested). Not sure I will do anything with the bumpers for now. May have to paint the door handles. Badges are next. I have a shorty antenna I just added and have LED interior lights and window vents coming tonight. Put a tonneau cover on that I found for $50. It's in pretty nice shape. Will add some additional pics later.

Speaking of removing badges. Can those 5.7V8 Badges be removed or are there body holes behind them. Bought my truck used and all badges are gone except those and the flex fuel badge on the tailgate. I want to remove them all.

Why does everyone hate chrome seriously? Everrrrryone is always talking about making all their chrome black...... having a nice rim is something to make your vehicle stand out and everyone has black now and black actually just looks generic and mono tone imo

I have never really been a fan of chrome. Maybe it's b/c if you have it, it needs to be shiny. Even on my motorcycles I do what I can to remove the chrome. Accents can be pops of color somewhere. For my truck, it's sand color, so doesn't just fade into oblivion.

    Cheers!

Cleaned MAF sensor and throttle body. First time I have done this for any vehicle I have owned. Not too hard, although I didn't clean the throttle body as well as I would like. Unsure how aggressive I could get.

Cleaned the corrosion off the battery and when removing the terminals, they snapped in half. Replaced with new terminals, felt pads and anti corrosion lube. Then removed, cleaned and oiled my K&N intake filter. Ready to roll now!!

There's no going back now! Drilled 5 holes through the roof of my truck today.
I'm replacing the Comet and Diamond dual band antennas with a pair of mono-band quarter wave antennas. In my experience these work better, and are far more resistant to tree strikes. They have the added bonus of only costing about $10 each so it's easy to keep two or three spares in the truck.

Worked on my chrome delete. I freshened up the plastic under the front bumper too. I think I am done, since the bumpers are a bit big, and give a good accent. They are also broken up by enough other blacks. My wife even liked the look of the black badges with the sand color of the truck. I added window vents and a tonneau cover a week ago, but didn't have pics yet. Did my first big pull last Friday. Pulled our coffee trailer from Colorado Springs to Castle Rock and back. It's only 4000 lbs, and I don't have my brake controller in yet. But, was as if it wasn't back there. Even at 75 mph on the interstate coming home.
