Hey Everyone, new member and first time poster here.
I have a 2003 Tundra, bought it used from a dealer and somewhere in its previous life the owner had done some suspension upgrades (Fabtech Dirt Logic 2.5 coilovers on the front, and the basic white Fabtechs on the rear). The back is getting a little mushy and when I load up or tow anything it sags significantly so i think its time to replace/upgrade the rear suspension at least. I know a lot of folks like the Bilstein 5100s all around so i'm debating replacing the old fabtechs rears with the Bilsteins and possibly adding a leaf for a little extra lift and support.

Anybody out there have experience with Bilstein vs Fabtech...or other suggestions for the rear?

The dirt logics are serviceable so i'm thinking i'll keep those on the front and and just get them serviced/or do it myself, unless someone can convince me otherwise ...?
I prob wouldn't have bought the Fabtechs myself but given they're pretty decent and already on i figure not much point in spending a bunch of extra money to replace em.

    Thanks

5100’s for the rear are a good choice. As for the sagging while towing, that has to do with the leaf pack. Do you know if the lift kit included an add a leaf for the rear or a lift block? An aal will help a little with the sag but won’t increase your load rating. Toytec has a good option that utilizes the stock overload spring: If you tow often I would recommend adding some airbags in the rear like these:

Great thanks Casper421. I'm not sure if the lift kit included an extra leaf but i don't see a lift block. Is there an easy way to look/ID if ones been added?

Look up pics of factory leaf springs and compare it to what you have. Check if there is a block between the axle and the spring pack, also check if the lowest leaf is very different fr pool m the others. It should be very short and very thick, that's the overload spring that comes to play when you have weight in the bed.

My stock leaf pack has 4 springs. I’m pretty sure access and double cabs had the same leaf packs but maybe @Darkness could count his and confirm. Count how many leafs you have and that’ll tell if you have an aal. From you avatar pic, looks like it’s stock height.

3 long leafs and one big overload at the bottom for access cabs.

alright thanks guys. Mine looks the same, 3 long leafs and one big one at the bottom, so i guess that means its all stock in the back so i'll start looking at Add a Leaf options.
