Looked fine to me. Do you have access to a different torque wrench to try? Autozone loans out tools for free, maybe you could borrow one. :notsure:

The ubolts were hard for me to tighten as well.. it’s a different angle so requires different muscles unless you’re on a lift. I’d guess you’re fine... but there is no warrantee with any of my advice :D

Bracing against the tire sounds familiar lol

You could also dial down the torque wrench and see what it’s reading at.. see how much further it wants you to go.

The spec I got on the sheet said +-8ftlbs I think... then you have to balance that against the accuracy of your tool...

Just be sure to recheck them... after 100mi or so?
Mine took a little extra to turn after the 100 mi mark. I’ll probably do it after my next fuel up too (300-400 miles) and after each of the next few oil changes... overboard I know, but it takes 15 minutes, and would like it to stay in working order lol

Upgrade the front one to TRD while you're at it. You won't regret it.

So, changing the front to the TRD and adding the rear TRD, makes a better difference than doing just the rear?

I've been debating this last couple of days. After reading about ride stiffness, think I'll opt out. Our roads around here suck, if it makes the ride stiffer I can roll with it a little.

I have not painted my sway bar, but I have painted different parts such as tow hitch, step bars etc. on previous trucks. I would say just scuff it up a little with sand paper to give it some bite, and paint with regular rattle can (Any good brand name of course; not the $1.00 bargain brands) Rust-oleum has always worked well for me. I use it without primer if the item you are painting is new and clean; otherwise a coat of primer won't hurt.

I have no experience with the front but the rear made a huge difference. I heard that the front upgrade won’t be as much of a change as adding the rear since there wasn’t one. I would suggest adding the rear first and if you are satisfied hold off on the front. Again, I only have the RSB and don’t plan on upgrading the front. Good luck.

I don't feel like it's a stiffer ride at all. We have pretty crappy roads here in CT, tons of bumps and potholes from frost heaves. The sway bar did not make the ride worse, i feel like it's better, especially cornering, feels more stable.

I'm getting one installed on my Tundra tomorrow at the dealership. They are doing it for 209.00 plus tax installed. Couldn't pass it up.
