Spoke to the dealer I ordered my 2019 TRD from, never spoke about the price since the dealer had no idea what the price was going to be. Today he calls and said it will be at sticker price, then said they charge a $995 dealer fee. I told him thats not going to work, if the fee is added Ill pass on the deal.. I told him two other dealers offered to order me one at MSRP no fees other than tax, tag and title.. My dealer put me on hold and came back and said no dealer fee.

Based on what I have read from other members that bought a 2017 Pro, MSRP is more or less it.. take it or leave it, correct? Havent read about anyone getting a discount.. I dont want to leave money on the table.

I got almost 2k off sticker on my 17 pro, but that was because of an "error" on their website. I made them stick to it ;)

When I was looking, a Pro was available at a dealer right next to me. They had a “market adjustment” fee of $5,500. They told me I wouldn’t find one for less. I pulled out my phone, found one at MSRP 45 mins away. They then said, well we can negotiate. I said no thanks and bought the one at MSRP.

I did try to negotiate with the dealer I bought from, but I knew MSRP was about right.

I saw a couple advertised with $2k - $2.5k discounts around DFW winter/spring before last when I was starting to get interested. Never called on any until I heard they were being discontinued. I called the dealer I had been talking with and asked about one. Local game warden got a nice discount on a Tacoma Pro so I asked and he said MSRP. I said I do not pay MSRP for anything and he said my loss and I came back with "no yours because now I will not buy from you". I had been talking with and trading texts for this guy for 2 months. That was the end. Never heard from him again even when I requested a quote on a TRD OR.

Thanks for all the reply’s. Guessing it’s MSRP or pound sand. I’m going to ask one of the other dealers if the will do better but both said their allocations are limited and msrp is the price when I first spoke to them.

I bought mine at MSRP, no markup. Looks like you will be paying $49,000 or more if you get the sunroof. 49K is the starting price for this round of Pro's. Can't wait to hear what you think of Fox suspension.

I bought mine at MSRP, no fees. I've come to notice 4runners TP are much harder to come by and yeah dealerships pretty much have a "take it or leave it" attitude.

Before I bought my truck, I had asked about what my price would be on the TRD Pro ('16). I had a family connection, so I could get it basically at cost. But for the Pro, they said MSRP, they dont do any discounts. Ha.

I bought my 2015 PRO in Dec 2014, since 2015 was the first year of the Pros they were extremely hard to find, but I still manged to get it for about $3k under MSRP by just calling around and talking to different dealers that showed them in stock on cars(dot)com. Sure, most places I called wanted full MSRP or up to $7500 over, I just said thanks and hung up when I heard that nonsense. These thinks aren't unicorns, they're around, you just have to be a bit patient and not get caught up in that "I have to have it first" mindset and end up paying many thousands more than you should.

    New windshield wipers....just getting started
I was about $2,500 under the MSRP....but, it was a perfect storm of discounts. Listed on Cars.com with a new dealership running "grand re-opening" specials in Rhode Island (not known for off-roading I guess), and it was two days after Christmas. Did the deal on the phone with a new "internet sales consultant" and then used frequent flyer miles + $80 to go out there. The Pro had been shipped there, but they hadn't really wanted it, and didn't know much about it. I knew more than the salesman. Very nice folks who picked me up at the airport. Only one "hiccup" from finance... "We forgot to add a $60 fee for....blah blah blah." Wasn't worth flying home empty handed for "$60...so I paid it.

The only real hassle was it was raining and I had to drive a brand new truck through NYC. Cut someone off at the George Washington bridge....guess they wave differently on the coast....he only used a single finger.:censored:

I'd say spread the net for prices VERY wide and be open to flying to the perfect deal....the drive home was nice (2 days) and I really got to know the truck.

The problem is SO many dealerships list Tundra's as "Pro" and they are not! After a bit, though, you'll be able to spot the fakes instantly.

Good luck and hope you find a perfect storm.

Just got my build sheet, no add-ons just the truck itself is $50940 total plus the tax, tag and title which is the price the dealer agreed to.

I did reach out to a dealer that has 75 tundras on hand and made a offer on a Platinum, another member said they got a 2018 Platinum for $42k...
If I could get the same price I think ill jump on it, hard to pass up that deal.

I did the exact same thing! I live in OK and found the exact truck I was looking for in a dealership in the DC area. We worked the deal over the phone, the only issue I had was the way VA handles tax/tags compared to Oklahoma, but once we got their finance people on the right page the deal was cemented. I jumped on a direct Southwest flight using my points, had to pay $23 out of pocket for taxes/whatever. The dealer picked me up at the airport and an hour later I was headed west. 1300 miles later I was back in OK with a DC non-ffv Pro. Very rare configuration out here in the "gulf states toyota" region. All said and done, including my travel and hotel I was still about $2800 under MSRP, and $7800 under what the local guys wanted ($5000 dealer markup).

Agreed, the best way I found was to find a "PRO" on carsdotcom then click the link to go to the dealers website. Their website almost always lists the actual model number of the vehicle. the 2015/16 Tundra PROs had these models, if they were anything else it wasn't a TRD PRO.

**THESE ARE THE MODEL NUMBERS FOR 2015-2017 TUNDRA PROS, I'M NOT SURE IF 2019 MODELS WILL BE THE SAME***

Well said, Garand! Like you, I have one of the few non-ffv Pro's around here. The local dealership still says, "we don't see many of them around here." Totally agree with the odd paperwork and had to have someone from the local DMV, in the pouring rain, lookover the truck before plates were issued. It really does pay to look around.

42k for a Platinum....that actually sounds pretty sweet. Would be perfect....if they made it in a double-cab....:dancingbacon:

Local dealer still has a 19 white pro at MSRP. Been on the lot 2 months and I refuse to pay MSRP. Will they discount it after a certain amount of time?

Bought my 19 Pro on 2/28 for $48,753. Sticker was almost $52,000. That is over a $3k discount. My trick was waiting to last day of the month and they were ready to sell a truck. We had 20+ plus days of rain here in February in NC and I guess they had no foot traffic on the lot. Given the right circumstances, they will discount them.

I just posted this last night in the TN forum. I pass a dealership 2x a day and this black TRD Pro has been sitting out front on the road for 2 to 3 weeks and has not moved. Dealers is asking MSRP and would probably come off from knowing some people who bought there. Hate to say it but TRD Pro's don't seem to be a big deal around here or sought after.

What error was is in your case? In mine, they accidentally posted the MSRP and a sale price on their website for a 2020 white DC pro. That truck was already sold but it was on the lot and they let me peek in the windows. I brought up their dealer website, showed the salesman the price (didn't elaborate), asked him if that's what the white one sold for. He said yes (he was probably saying yes from the perspective that they don't really haggle on the pros and not necessarily looking at the listing too closely). I asked if they would sell me a black DC pro for the same amount and he said yes. He left and came back with the sales manager who said that A) the white one was not sold at a discount - whoever posts things to their website accidentally put the invoice price on it as the sale price and B) they would honor the deal and sell me a black one for the sale price listed. Put my deposit down today. No idea when delivery will be aside from a hope that it'll arrive in 2019. Saved me about $2700.

And, yes, I got screenshots before they fixed the listing on the white one. ;)

Nice, good that the dealer will honor their mistake. Out of curiosity my local dealer (that I will never buy from because they don’t negotiate competitive prices from other out of town dealers) has a 2019 White TRD Pro listed on their website for over $2k below MSRP.

I am getting ready to pounce on Friday. There are 30 TRD pros in the New England area and I am not going to pay over 47k. I already have a quote from a dealership in Vermont that has two of them for 46,752. The dealership I am going to said they would beat the price. If they don’t I will walk to the next one intil I get the price I want!

If one of the 30 TRD Pros is a 2020 in Army Green for that price, let me know. I will be on a plane to get it.
