My clear tail lights weren’t cutting it for me. Felt like it was an invite off the green light when any car or truck pulled up next to me. Lol. I went with this brand. 6 hours later. Came out great. Back up lights are clear still as they should be. If you use your tundra like you should. Lol. O’Reillys auto parts is where I grabbed mine from.

Looks good! I've got the red tail lights and have thought about swapping them out for black or finding a way to make them...not red...still on the fence about it thought.

Awesome! Thanks for the pic! That's my problem...I just couldn't picture it in my head. Is it easily removable if I dont like it?

Yes not easy like just falls of easy. You have to work a corner and get it to peel up. Then It comes off like a latex glove peels rite off with some finger muscle. Lol

I tried the exact same product before on my previous taillights. The only draw back for me was it has a lot of orange peel on the finish. The tint doesn’t lay flat or spray very smooth. The light does shine through it just fine. Another option is have a professional painter tint them and have a smooth application if someone wants. Good write up OP just making people are aware the tint does have a lot of texture to the finish.

Your rite it doesn’t come out with a silk smooth finish. But with a lil wax and polish it helps. And only to the touch can you really feel it’s not as smooth as the auto paint on your truck but it’s still not a rough finish either.

So you’ll have to polish it to get the shine back? The dul hazy look isn’t my taste

I don’t know how you can polish it. It’s meant to able to peel off. It reminds me of plasti dip in a transparent form. If you try to polish it’s going to rub off. I’ll do a small test area on my old taillights with a close up photo.

I have the tint to do it that route. I’ve never been good with tinting. To each there own strengths. Lol. I like finish with this stuff. If I was looking for shine and gloss. I would have stuck with the naturally clear look. Plus is a smoke color. The Smoke is what it suppose to look like. Now they do Carry other coolers. Cherry red. I may go and grab a can of that and hit it with a light 3-4 coats over the smoke lens and that will throw a nice look. Keep in mind I did one. Light coat to start. Then 2 medium coats. Then 3 heavier coats. Let’s it settle for 20 and the two final heavy coats. And only was and polished after hour when completely dry. You could go with way more Costs if your looking for a deeper smoke look.

The main thing with my post is not the color or if you like it or not. I’m just saying I love the option to do it and be able to peel off if I don’t like it aster a few days. 10$ can of spray paint. And reusable. Take that over having to keep buying and buying. Etc. after seeing it in the sun today. I will go over it with 3-4 costs of cherry red. That will bring it to. lil darker appearance. To my eye at least. Lol.

How does it hold up to being washed and scrubbed?
