Well it’s officially fire season in California, you guys and gals be safe and RESPONSIBLE while out camping or off-roading. Took a couple pics over the last few days of the local Pawnee fire. I have to admit being an aircraft mechanic by trade I have fondness for the air tankers.

Adding an extinguisher to my list of upgrades and mods, although I don’t hardcore off-road, I do find myself exploring dirt/forest roads a lot. Really wish CM storage options, so I could just tuck it way.

Three of those are working the Pawnee Fire here in Northern California. One owned by Erickson and two by Siller. Erickson also has 3 MD88 airtankers working the fire.

Good luck, man. This is the dryest we have been in a very long time. Got several fires going in the state currently. Luckily, none of them are too huge yet.

New start today in Yolo/Napa Counties. Already jumped to 4K acres in less than 3 hours thanks to the hot, dry and windy weather we are having. This one is expected to jump the ridge and effect the Knoxville Berryessa area (for those NorCal guys familiar with the area) by tonight. Most recent Calfire update now has it at 8K acres and has crested the ridge.

Los Angeles county leases two super scoopers every fire season from Canada. Haven’t seen them yet this year. They usually sit at Van Nuys airport right by my work. This was last season. Pretty cool to see them in action.

Dang ok. Last couple years there were huge fires outside of LA county and the planes just sat there. Good put them to use.

When you are a part of a great company you have help doing great things..... Today we donated 2 pallets of water and our time to the American red Cross and the salvation army. What amazing people to meet and so grateful for all their efforts.
Temescal Canyon Highschool is the evacuation site where they are continuing to take donations. Snacks, drinks, and every day necessesities. I was taken back by the amount of generosity the local communities have. There is so much there to help others. If you need shelter they are there to help!
Thank you firefighters for all the hard work keeping these homes and people safe, thank you police department for standing in the heat guiding everyone to where they need to be.

The truck put some work in today... 168 cases of water... Lots of weight. Lol
