thanks in advance for any and all help. I have a 2016 Tundra TRD Pro that is making a very high pitched noise (sounds almost like a high pitched brake squeal) on passenger side front when slowly shifting between 2200 & 2600 RPMs. The only thing New on the truck are my tires Nitto Trail Grapplers LT295/70r18

The dealer initially though it was the the computer fan and changed the computer, but that wasn’t it. Now the truck has been at the dealer for 3 days and they think it may be wind noise. I think they are way off base because the noise happens at any speed when I am in the 2200-2600 RPM shift range

I get a similar high pitch noise that is more like a whistle from the same area around the same rpm. It only started making the noise after I changed to a high flow air filter so I assume it is the seal/screen inside the throttle body. There is a thread or two on here that goes over how to get rid of it by replacing the seal with one from the 4.6L motor, but I have been too lazy to do the mod yet.

it's the air intake I think. With the TRD intake you get a whistle from the wire filtery thingy further upstream. There's a thread somewhere on how to remove that wire grid thing

Air intake. My truck came with a K&N with K&N filter. I don't like K&N products and I really don't like oiled filters. I didn't have the stock intake, so I still have the K&N intake. But I switched the filter to an AFE Dri Filter. Immediately after making that switch in filters I noticed the EXACT noise at the EXACT RPM's you are describing. And it is 100% effected by the position of the throttle as well, move the throttle around a little when you hear the noise, I bet it changes with movement of the throttle.

Thanks everyone for the help. The dealer had the truck for 5 days and told me basically the same thing. I guess now I believe them.
