So does the wheel size matter then?? Like if I get a 35 tire with 18 wheel or 20 wheel?

Like Kris said, you can run the 35 as a spare but only in the front. So, you're switching 2 tires if you get a flat in the rear. I'm not sure about your lift but you just wanna be sure the spare clears your UCA.

Using a 35" spare for a 37" setup will be ok. Think of like cars and how much smaller their spares are, kinda like that but again, just make sure to always put the spare up front. Don't want to put 2 different size tires in the back as it will mess with the gearing.

The wheel will matter if it doesn't clear with your setup. If you use a stock wheel the offset will be completely different and most likely will not clear your UCAs and suspension. What's your offset now, like -44? Just get something comparable to that and you'll be ok. Make sure an 18" wheel will also work with your suspension. I think some kits specify the use of at least an 18" wheel and maybe a 20".. not sure though

With all that in mind I ended up just buying the same wheels for my spares since they would be the same size and offset. To find a wheel with comparable offset for cheap was proving hard and it was actually the cheaper option for me to just buy the same wheel. #cheapProCompwheelsFTW

Thought the 295/70 would fit under without modifying the brackets. I have CB+3 and the brackets were poking my tires and not allowing them to sit tight up there. Cut the brackets so they don’t stick out and the tire fits much better. Tight but fits. Can’t fit anything much bigger than this size. Also close to the resonator from my BAmuffler. I want to get rid of the resonator so it can fit a bit better with more space to breath.

Dang, that thing is sooo clean under there, looks like it's never seen anything but the garage floor. But, I know better, I've seen it on the road............. twice.

Think I could squeeze a 37/12.5r17 under there? Without depressuring it that is.
It’s not a real big deal if I can’t, would just be a bonus. I’ll just box mount it if not.

I don't think so. Just put a 295 70 18 (34.4") tire under there today. It fits but not much room to spare. I can't see your size fitting.

Does the chain or anything scratch the face of the rim? I’m worried about putting my 5th wheel under there, right now it’s just in the bed.

The chain goes through the hub. Not worried about that. It’s the bracket that scratches the wheel. I already have some scratches where the brackets contacts the hub opening of the wheel. Don’t think you can get away from that unless you put some kind plastic protection on the bracket or wheel.

Bump, having a brain fart as my offset is +18 and the 295/70R18's do not rub anywhere with my mud flaps removed, liner pushed in. Does a 295/70R18 on the stock spare +60 18" steely rub anywhere?

I just measured my tire 42mm inwards, seems to clear the UCA, not sure if any issues during movement.

Bump, if I put 35x12.50r18 on the truck and I left the stock spare the only issue I would have is that the spare would need to be in the front correct? TRD pro

I ask because, If I am going to play in the truck, I will just strap in the matching wheel and tire in the truck bed, but most of the time I am just on road and I need my truck bed space.

    Thanks for the posts.

If I bend or remove the tabs will 275/70R/18’s fit on a stock aluminum wheel?

    Thanks.

How did you remove the guides? Not sure how common it is to have to do this for other trucks. If I get my tires installed at a local tire shop, do you think they'll be able to get the spare to fit back there doing whatever you had to do, or do you think I'll have to do it myself?

I'm doin 295/70/18's on the TRD wheels (I bought an extra wheel and tire to use for spare)
