Hey everyone! I just purchased this truck, I was browsing Autotrader one night and found this for sale at a Honda dealership down in metro Phoenix. Ironically enough, I had just moved back home to Michigan from Phoenix in November. At any rate, I had a friend down there look at it for me, and I purchased it. It has 103,000 miles and Carfax showed it spent it's life in Washington state and most recently in Florida.... so I'm not really sure how it wound up on a dealer lot in Arizona??

I just got the truck yesterday. It's clean, but not quite what I thought I bought for $15,000. It has quite a few scratches on the bedsides and tailgate from where it looks like it was used to haul brush or something similar around, and both rear flares are damaged and scraped up quite badly (I'm on the hunt for a set of nice salsa red rear flares if someone can help me out). It also is missing the floor mats, has some stains on the carpet (which I saw in photos), the driver's front speaker is blown, and the wheels are TRASHED. Seriously, I'm not sure how a truck that spent it's whole life in a rust-free climate has wheels that are corroded as badly as these are. The only thing I can think is that it spent it's time in Florida close to the beach, because the exhaust has quite a bit of surface rust too (though that's the only thing rusty underneath).

Thank you! It definitely needs some TLC but should clean up nicely.

Had the wheels and tires mounted up this past weekend.

The billys will be going on this weekend along with the new LBJs and a Toytec diff drop. I'm debating buying a set of rear billys and a 1" lift block as well. I found a used bed mat on eBay that should be here today too. Also found a pair of rear flares off of a truck at a yard in Wisconsin. I'm hoping they are in decent shape, it was hard to tell based off of the photos from car-part.

5100s installed at the 4th perch (~1.6" of lift) in the front, new lower ball joints and bolts and a Toytec diff drop installed. It looks like I'm going to need to add a 1" lift block in the rear now....oh darn.

Noticed a little bit of a clanking noise over bumps since the Bilstein install. After some online research and discovery of my own, it turns out that the factory lower bushings on the strut mounts that I reused did not come off with the mount when I pulled it off of the OEM strut, and I didn't catch it on either side. That explains why I have the retaining nut ran all the way down and the top bushing doesn't look like it's compressed.

Back to O'Reilly to rent the spring compressor again.......

I'll get some new photos in the next week or so, I ordered a new pair of headlights and a Morimoto H1 retrofit kit. I also now have a Kenwood powered subwoofer, and Rockford Fosgate speakers for the rear.

New headlights installed, purchased an H1 retrofit kit from TRS, and then also installed a pair of Nokya hyper yellow fog lights. Had a buddy install the Kenwood powered subwoofer and a factory amplifier delete harness. I was having issues with the new speakers sounding very "tinny" and not full at all. Bypassed the factory garbage, and everything sounds MUCH better.

It's extremely easy as long as you're comfortable (and your wife is ok) with baking headlights in the oven.

Does anyone know if similar year Sequoia steering wheels fit? I found a nice gray leather wheel on eBay that I'd like to install.

Installed a Toytec 1.5" Lift Block and rear 5100s this past weekend. Looks like I need 285s now; you thought I would've learned, I made the same mistake on my old 4Runner.

I've been wanting to step it up to 33s ever since I lifted the truck (only about 2 weeks after purchasing my current tires lol), and was really close to pulling the trigger on 285/70/17s today, but I've been kind of wanting to go with pizza cutters, and it just so happened I was browsing eBay this afternoon and noticed a few listings for Wildpeaks in LT255/80/17, which prior to today I didn't even know Falken made in that size. I called Falken up, and it turns out they are releasing a bunch of new sizes for that tire, including the 255/80s. Needless to say, 33s are in this truck's future!

Nice! My dad has the wildpeaks. seem like good tires. He had a little trouble getting them balanced though.

That seems to be the general consensus with anyone that's run them. The Firestone I took mine to to mount said they had some trouble, leaving one ~1/2 oz out of spec; however it has no weird vibrations even up to 75-80.

Some obligatory snow pictures from our first real snowfall earlier this week. Got about 6" of the super wet and heavy stuff.

Shown is the Snugtop I went to Kentucky to pick up about a month ago, and newly repainted fender flares to replace the fucked up ones that came with the truck.

They're great! Just as good as my previous two sets of Falkens have been. What's interesting though is that I cannot find this tire in this size for sale anywhere anymore. I want one for my spare, but it looks like Falken must have pulled this size for the time being for unknown reasons?
