Sway bars for towing... rear only, or both?

    Hey all!

So now that I have my Tundra, I've been going down the list of "must haves" before I get my first travel trailer. This trailer will be the first thing of its size I've ever towed, so I'm trying to throw as much tech at the problem as possible to help mitigate some of the issues that might arise; any little handicap will help.

While I've got my eyes on the Equal-i-zer WDH and sway control, I've also been trying to figure out whether sway bars would be of any use to assist. My Tundra will never go offroad, shy of some catastrophic event, so this is all city/highway driving and towing. Most of the thread responses I've seen seem to suggest that rear is almost always a good idea, but it seems more iffy on whether the front is worthwhile.

So I figured I'd ask here: Do you find the front AND rear sway bars to be helpful in towing situations, or perhaps only one of the sway bars... or perhaps neither at all?

The trailers I'm looking at will likely be around 27-29', ~7000-7500 GVWR.

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that it comes "stock" with a Front sway bar. As for the rear, I found that it does help keep the Side to Side body roll (i.e. sway) under control while towing. JMO. Definitely get the Equal-i-zer WDH or an equivalent one.

Awesome! I didn't realize it had a front sway bar stock; that's helpful to know.

Since the sway is definitely a concern of mine, so I'm thinking that I will likely want to grab one for the rear.

    I appreciate the response!
