    Looks Great!!
I'm a fan of that blue for sure. If I had blue you'd have just convinced me to remove my badges LOL

Thanks man. I'm still not sure what to do with the platinum badge. I kinda like that one but all others are gone.

i kinda like the black badges, but detailing around them is a pain. not sure if i like them enough to keep them - SR5 and TUNDRA badges on front doors - the 5.7l isnt all that bad to work around.. and i dont want it to be confused with a 4.6 LOL

Yeah they are a pain to work around even when cleaning. I look them off the day I got my truck home.

I would remove it; just my preference. It gives a bit of a cleaner look.

Two things I will do different next time is in the polishing stage.
1-more pads. Several more. I think 5 or 6 would do the whole truck without waiting around to clean pads and let them dry.
2-different polish. The meg's ultimate polish is kind of weak and oily, poor cutting ability IMO. It took care if VERY light swirls but left some behind. I think I'll try meg's 205. I may also get a compound or heavier polish like meg's 105 with some heavier pads. Just not sure how comfortable I feel with something that cuts so much.

I just felt like an old grumpy man. Was telling my daughter to close the doors on the truck with the door handle so she doesnt smudge the freshly waxed paint

Finally cleaned the inside. Vacuumed first.
Used simple green on any tough spots and to scrub the floor mats.
Stoner invisible glass on windows inside and out
303 on pretty much everything inside
    Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner
Lexol vinyl and rubber on floor mats
Merlins magic mix on door jams
Tried waxaddict tyre feeder on a few spots to test
Came out looking pretty good, it was much needed that's for sure. Didnt take pics as I went

Yep. Hollering at my kids all the time “hands off the paint!”
Wife gets a pass. I just hit her smudges Sunday night with some detail spray. She’s not in it much, and I try to grab the door for her when I can.

Pouring rain, streets flooding. Made me cringe driving into work. But I will say the paint beaded up very nicely

Any of you guys get the little scratches inside your passenger side door handle from the wife’s rings? When we were looking at used cars last week, I could tell if a man or woman drove the vehicle based on what side those scratches were on.

Hey Sean, I’ve found that Waxaddict works great on vinyl floor mats. Just don’t coat it too heavily, or it will make them slippery. It lasts a long time in the Weathertech mats.

I don’t mind it raining on my work sometimes. You get to see what your sealant is for. It’s also pretty easy to clean again once you’ve done the prep work.

I used to. I couldn't take it any more so I got divorced.

Something that drives me crazy is the previous owner must have worn a big ring and wiped the windshield back handed cuz its scratched like crazy.

@War Machine how’s the towels working out? How many do you need?

How are you all doing with the rinseless wash? Have you used it as detail spray (waterless wash)? Clay lube? Rinseless wash? By itself or with other soap?

    Also thinking about:

Door scratched I can deal with... kinda... lol but messed up glass... no way. I like to be able to see... weird, right?

My trucks got the “protection” package with the vinyl in various places... one place is behind the door handles... but I guess the scratches would be above the door grip..?

The towels are outstanding, just expensive. Two will probably do you. I know I can dry my whole truck with one of the large ones.

I haven’t used the Wolfgang as a detail spray, just as a normal rinse less wash.

I’ve been looking at that Hydro Blue. Let us know what you think.

    How is the rinseless wash??

I saw a few people paying they liked the sio2 but not sure if this is the brand they were using or not. It’s got solid reviews...

It’s a good one. Equal to Ech20 or Optimum No Rinse, so I’d go with whichever is cheapest.

Brother in law is selling his 2008 Ford Edge. I volunteered to detail it for him to make it more attractive to buyers. Got a good start on it this afternoon. (Didn’t take any before pics. I never remember.)

CG Honeydew foam, Iron X, Clay mitt, second wash with Carpro Reset.
Topped it with Sonax. I haven’t used it much, but it is very hydrophobic. I’ll probably start using it more often.

Sonax (287400-755) Brilliant Shine Detailer - 25.36 fl. oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0083UBYO0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Ap7zBb3D25E54

I’ll be tackling the interior tomorrow.

If you decide to debadge them and want to get rid of them, I'll take em off your hands. :fingerscrossed:

That's what I've always used for paint correction. With my Porter Cable I will use the Meguiars 105 Ultra Cut Compound with a Lake Country Mfg orange pad (light cutting) them follow up with Meguiars 205 Ultra Finishing polish with a LC white pad (polishing) . This has been a pretty effective way to remove swirls and light scratches from my vehicles. I've always been afraid to get any more aggressive (with pads) than that.

Meg's Ultimate Polish is a little on the weak side, but will dust less than 205. I've always liked it for a post-clay bar polish, when I'm not asking it to do very much correction, and maybe take care of any marring the clay did. I just got my hands on some Sonax Perfect Finish, which is more of a medium-cut polish, and supposedly cuts well, dusts little, and finishes LSP-ready. I'll report on it, as soon as the weather cools off enough to allow that level of effort.
