    hey now....

If by best weather you mean always fucking raining.... (summer 2018 being the exception from what i hear) you're spot on.

I'm always amazed when i go home at how green everything is.... and this is coming from NC where it's much greener than out west

I used to be very anal about it lawn. Would lime or every year, fertilize 4 times a year, pull a weed, and water it sometimes.
Now I fertilize in April and sometimes again in October, I dont water anymore. It looks almost as good still. Good enough for me, its green and pretty much weed free. I still mow it high during the summer which is really helpful in keeping it looking good. Here's a shitty pic of my back yard. Front yard tends to looks nicer than the back most of the year

You showoffs from the east coast. Lol
Guess it’s the price I pay for mild winters.
That lawn looks great. Water limitations are the obstacle for us out west. You’d think that aquifers and water recycling on the municipal level would recoup a good portion of what isn’t used but Sacramento loves to tell us how to live.
I guess they can’t control the rain huh.

Not quite. A lot of Bermuda varieties in the central area, buffalo grass in west Texas, zoysia is taking over in many of the dfw suburbs, and some brave souls push various fescues. St aug is going to be more in the coastal area where it's not as dry. These aren't hard and fast however.

Nice stripes! Not many homeowners know about lawn striping but makes a huge difference.

A lot of regular rain this year has helped our San Augustine this year. Ours is greener than most in the neighborhood. :D

This is the best time of year to plant grass , around me anyway.
Also I think that the grass looks its best in early fall. I'm considering dethatching and over seeding in the next couple weeks. Just not sure I need another project, another expensive project

We don't have one blade of grass on our 3 acres. Field grasses and other weed types, yes, bit I do nothing but mow it down to the dirt clods (with a 54" 3 blade rider mower) for fire safety.
