Ok ladies and gentlemen, I have a 2008 Tundra. Nothing fancy, just the plain basic 4 door. The power windows and door locks will not work in the back doors. The front doors work fine with the key fob or the button control on the doors. The back doors will not work by the keyfob or by using the button controls on the back doors or by using the master control on the front driver door. Fuse is fine. If fuse was bad then none of them would work. So, I know for sure that the problem is not a fuse. Very aggravated about this. If any of you have encountered this problem before and have suggestions of how to fix this problem, then I am asking for your help. Thank you in advance for all help that can be given. I look forward to hearing a solution from one of you.

He also said he could not use the Master Controller on the back either. The master controller overrides all things!:transformer:

Disconnect your battery..Just the positve cable(red)

Important part.....leave it off for 15 minutes before you put cable back on

It is not the child lock. The master control works but only the front windows and door locks.

Reseting the computer by disconnecting the battery did not work either. I had tried those things but was unable to fix it, so that is why I reached out to you guys.

Is there a relay or a body control module that I don't know about? I am really stumped here.

All you have to do is go to this post and type "Bump"... or type anything else really. This will force this post to the top of the line so people will be able to see it. Kinda like I did right now so its on top of the news feed.

Gino, I will check the voltage level of the wires for the switch as you are suggesting after removing the panels again. I don't believe that you will show voltage on the wire unless you are actually pushing one of the switches turning it on and off. I may be wrong, so I will check. If there is no voltage then what do you suggest.

But to your original question. I made multiple replies last night (I work night shift) But I deleted all of them but one. If its not your fuse, It's not your computer programming, Its not your relay.... then It could be you actual master controller. The are like 50 bucks for your year model.... but changing parts to hopefully find a fix is a road down troubleshooting that people should not really go down. Do you have anyone around you that has the same generation you have... you could ask to barrow their master control. It should be just a couple screws and then one connector in the back... plug and play type thing.

Hey guys, finally bought a new master switch and installed it. The back door window and locks still do not work from the master switch or the switches on the door. Any other ideas guys? This has become extremely aggravating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Stupid thought, and I'm too lazy to walk out to check my truck - but do you have a "Lock" button to lock all the windows/doors in the back? I know my jeep has it (I use it to piss off the teenager when he is riding in back). But I can't remember if the Tundra has one....

Yes it has a window lock button but it is not locked. The window lock works properly so it is not a issue with the lock. I am beginning to think that it may need a new body control module. I was hoping that would not be the issue because those bcm's are expensive. The only place I can find them is the dealer and they want $236 and some change. Any ideas guys?

I had the same type of problem and it started w my rear pass door not working then it affected the drivers doors ( both) and when I took it in the dealership replaced a few aucuators and the master one (so they say) and I know the main panel on the d side door was replaced. That seems to be the fix for mine. 2016 dbl Cab

I spent some time looking at the door lock portion of your issue last night in the factory service manual. Bottom line, for either of the rear door locks to not work, while the others work normally, the “actuator circuit” or the BCM are the possible culprits. “Actuator circuit” includes the wiring harness, of course.

I finally felt sleepy by 2am, so didn’t dig into the power window portion of the issue, but left I’m wondering if there is a common harness connector for the 2 rear doors, or the harness is damaged. Also possible that it is just the lock actuators and window motors. As you say, the BCM is also a possibility.

The troubleshooting steps require Techstream (Toyota’s diagnostic software system) and are quite extensive.

How did the issue begin? Did both windows and both locks quit at the same time, did one die then another, or ???

Power lock and keyless entry went haywire yesterday. Stealership says BCM is bad today. $1300 their price to fix but part is on back order. 7-10 day wait. I think I’m going to order a reman unit and overnight it but they are pricey.

Dealer repaired. Far too cold outside to work on myself (-25 to -30C) Anyhow $500 to replace some wires that were broken. Prolly should have taken to ace auto electric in retrospect. Whatever, its done now. Hopefully done with the repairs. $2500 in 3 months. Complaining, but not too much. Sequoia has 325,000 miles on it, and its been a great truck so its bound to need some repairs now and then. Otherwise, shut up and buy and new one! I don't think so.

Solution for rear window, rear window locks, courtesy light activation. Turned out to be OB1 connector was not seated completely. We had been over all these connections looking and reconnected several times. Apparently the connectors need a extra firm seating beyond what appears and feels tight. Toyota tech noted the connections have little room for error in seating do to depth of pin engagement.
