I’ve got a 95 4Runner and I use it as a trail toy. The other day I drove it to work just to run it in the hot months. Rear end felt real loose. Found a wet shock. Pretty sure it’s blown and is the problem. Anyone have good recommendations for a new set? It’s pretty much stock.

I've run Rancho and OME. The wife didn't want her 99 lifted so we went with Rancho. Then on my boys 98 we ran OME. Happy with both, though I am pretty partial to OME.

I’ve looked at ome but can’t really find anything for a 95.
I’ve ran ranchos on a 89 hardbody and loved em.

I liked them as well on the wifes 99. Those are the only 2 that I am familiar with. I just looked at Toytec, they have complete OME front and rear. Maybe they can do something for you since you only need rear shocks. Give them a holler, worth a shot. They might have an alternative for you.

When you say the rear wind felt loose, how to you mean? Bouncy, side to side feeling?

Yes. I climbed under it and had my wife shake it using the rear passenger side door for leverage. That’s when I noticed the wet dirt on one of the shocks.
I put moog springs and a spacer block in rear when I got it. It had that saggy ass thing going on. I also put the bilstein 4600’s on it. We’ve wheeled it moderately since.
By moderately I mean we’ve taken it places our friends w newer jeeps wouldn’t go. Buddy w ‘13 taco would go, friends w modified jeeps would do it. So far hardest thing was backside of American girl mine. Off barny oldfield rd. Yuma and SD guys might know it.
It’s not a daily driver so dinging it up hasn’t worried us. So far it’s amazed us. It ain’t fast but it’s light n skinny.

The reason I asked was it could be your rear track bar bushings that’s giving you the “loose” feeling.

That’s what I was thinking when I climbed under there. And then I noticed the 1 blown shock. I was totally thinking bushings then saw the wet shock.
