I believed this is 8 pack and its medium duty, and its capacity of carrying 400 lbs in the bed.

The rear axle seals was leaking a little in the past and during the Big Bear weekend it shows more gear oil on the inside tire. So I decided to replaced both oil seals and retainers.
I also purchased wheel hub bearing but after checked and there is no free play so I returned it to dealer.

    Oil seal before removed
    IMG_1497.jpg

I used medium side pry bar to remove the oil seal and using the oil filter opener to drive the new seal in not all the way.
I then re-install the shaft and tie 4 hub bolts to drive the seal in all the way.

    IMG_7711.jpg

To remove the retainer I used Dremel cutting 45° and use cold chisel tap it open. I then using the old retainer to drive the new one in (sorry I didn't take photo).
    IMG_1503.jpg

It took about 3 hours to complete it.

Nice. Not sure if you notice a difference in handling, but when both my back bearings were replaced the ride after was so much better.

I saw that you returned the part because you didn’t need it. Better to have it when its all apart and take it back if not needed. Was just wondering if what you did made an improvement in handling even though it was just seals. Good work.

Time for removing the bed, cutting the sub frame and reinforced the sub frame and adding strength to the rear frame by welding the 1/4" plate to the frame channel. Then fab the new rear upper shock mount.

The engine is running little warm uphill ( Big bear trip) on the hot day with AC on. The engine temp did not increase when crawling 4low with AC on.
After researched and talked to few radiator shops they suspected the radiator blockage so I decided to replace the radiator with Champion full aluminum and lifetime warranty.

Did you happen to write down build instructions for that rear bumper?

    Unfortunately I did not.
Since I reinforced the factory rear mount and welded the plate to the rear mount so the bumper with welded stud just slide on the bracket (one person install) from there you just install and tight the nuts.

Not much of an update beside lower ball joint failure after passing the speed bump at the shopping center. This BJ made by Import Direct (O'Reilly), I replaced last year same time with lower control arm from 1A Auto.
    IMG_1659.jpg
    IMG_1658.jpg IMG_1657.jpg

After couple hard wheeling trips all the rubber bushing are bad. Since the LCA has lifetime warranty, they sent the replacement. I removed all rubber bushings and replaced with polyurethane bushings.

Just a replacement of the stock LCA.

So far the grade 9 bolt 5/8"x4.5" that connect the Camburg UCA to the knuckle slightly bent but can be re-used.
After put everything back together the passenger wheel did not turn smoothly. I then replaced the CV axle (within warranty) but it did not resolved an issue however I test drive around town and did not notice of any noise or wobble at all. The truck repose very normal but I decided to replace the knuckle and wheel spindle and its on the way.
