Welp sold the boat this morning. They say the happiest day of boat ownership is when you buy it or sell it but I was actually sad about it. Posted it on local craigslist to see what I could get with no intention of actually selling and a guy showed up with enough cash to come very close to my asking price so I shook his hand. Made a nice profit over what I originally paid 4 years ago but I’m damn sure gonna miss it. Now time to decide between another boat or more Tundra mods.

It is a sad day when you're boat-less..

I was boat-less for an hour when i sold my last boat.
Took the money i sold her for and bought a bigger, nicer one lmao

Yea, considered selling my current one this season, but couldn't do it. Too many enjoyable days like this.

I've been redoing a 1968 Starcraft offshore tri-hull for a few years now. I was gung ho at first and got the transom done, pulled the floor, stringers and bulkheads. Stringers are done, Bulkheads are done, lifted the entire floor 2" to install a custom belly tank and convert it to a wash down (shitty drainage system in 68 lol). Had the entire top Line-X coated in seafoam green. Doing the interior when its done in light grey (White yellows with Line-X). Just really lost the wind in the sails when I went to cut out the last section in the front by the controls. The sawzall I was using "found" a soft spot in the hull. I'm lucky I found it but also very disheartened at the same time. The wind is finally coming back around as the garage has been vacated and I think I will start back and finish it this year when the weather cools. Not bad considering I got the boat for free and it will be bullet proof when done.

This is a first and a last. I wouldn't mind if not for the 2 weeks of itching after each grind/cut/prep session. Even using the "best" coveralls recommended by the supplier and almost dieing of heat exhaustion trying to keep from itching the best I found was sweat pants and sweat shirt lol. Knowing your are going to be for the next 3 nights laying there bug eyed as every single part of you itches.

Do any of you guys have any experience with the Yamaha Jet Drive Center consoles? I might be looking for an 'SUV' of boats to do it all, or as much of it as possible at some point in the future... family cruises to a restaurants, fishing, hauling people from point A to B with a bunch of kite gear. I like the idea of a center console, I like the idea of jet drive for shallow draft & hidden props. I don't like the idea of jet drive for shit getting stuck in the turbine & I don't like the Yamaha bow shape... looks like it would be a shitty ride in anything remotely choppy - would love to hear real world experience

Primary use would be in sheltered water of the ICW, with an occasional longer run out to Cape Lookout

Didn’t take me long to find my next boat. Wanted something a little smaller and more basic so there was less maintenance / time spent washing after each trip.

Nice looking boat. How you liking that Suzuki motore? I have one on my smaller boat and absolutely love that engine. Lighter than the competition, very reliable and sips on the gas.

I cannot speak for the Yamaha, but I did own at one time the Sea Doo Speedster 15 footer. Very fast boat and was fun, but as you said very limited any any chop. Didn't keep it long and sold it to get something larger and dryer.

Only used it once so far since I just picked it up Saturday (only 30 hours on it currently), but so far I love it. I came from an older Mercury 2 stroke so going to a quiet 4 stroke that doesn’t chug gas is great. Best part is the push button start though, love that feature. Still getting used to the tiller handle instead of having a wheel but it is growing on me.

Yea, not a big fan of tillers, which is why I rigged a wheel in this small one.

Blew the motor on my 30 year old Ranger 375V last and summer and replaced with a boat more suited for the type of fishing I do. I still miss running mid 60s across the lake but new boat rides like a caddy and handles the rough stuff. Also fishes 3 easily.

This is my paradise. We've been out on the boat all the way into December the last few years. Spring fishing, fall fishing, summer is all sandbar hoppin.

Technically my old man's, but I end up pulling it more than he does. We're thinking about upgrading and splitting the payment in the near future. We have our eyes on a 20-21 ft Skeeter or Phoenix.

Bought it used, last year just in time to store it for the winter.
    Had it out once.
For next season we went with In/Out service @ a nearby marina.
It's on Spring Lake with access to a nice river that is navigable about 20 miles up river.
About 1.5 miles down channel to Lake Michigan.
Cant wait for spring to get here.

None! I tow a boat weekly

I was the only one at the lake that day. I’ve been in and around boats my entire life. I feel homeless without one. This is my 2010 Skeeter ZX 200. I bass fish weekly year round.

I’ve been trying to trade my Harley for a boat, but all the boats I keep getting offered are too big for me to tow!
    :ballchain:

    Hopefully soon, though.

garmin fish finders at the console and bow. She may not be the biggest or the fastest but i love her. I do a lot of bass fishing and striper fishing on the Sacramento Delta, and Folsom Lake.
Glad to see some other bass boats on here! I plan to upgrade eventually to something a little bigger and newer.

this is a few weeks after I had bought her and added the garmin echomap at the console
