I’m finally getting around to leveling my truck (5100s all around for now...front on middle setting, no rear lift). Assuming I should remove the boots on all of them? I was never a fan and felt like they trapped debri/water more than prevented it from entering.

    What is everyone else doing?

Sorry for the extremely simple and silly question :)

I'm a fan of shock condoms, keep that investment clean. Helps prevents damage to the shaft which in turn saves seals and $ down the road.

Keep’em on. Just make sure the weep holes face down and you periodically keep them clean.

Boots on. I have to replace my shafts fairly soon, was to late for me...rocks at high speed are brutal.

Leaving the shaft unprotected can get expensive.
