Washed it. Man that is a fucking task IMO, especially for a short 5'6" man like me, gotta break out that step ladder and washing wand/thingy that is a pole with a sponge on the end of it. 3rd time I've washed it since I owned it back in early May, I know it needs to be cleaned, bug guts taken off the front, at least once a week, but man work has been crazy doing me like 70 hour weeks. When I clean my car, its a process, I really nerd out on it and something the size of the Tundra is like a 1 to 2 hour ordeal to detail it to my standards.

I tried to install a set of @RCIoffroad heavy duty steps. unfortunately they don't quite fit my double cab... Rear mount on the step is about a foot too far to the rear compared to the location of the mount on the cab.

I bet they would fit a crewmax then. ;) They look new - were you shipped the wrong thing?

I called, because after ordering I noticed the site says Crew Max only. They said they could make them fit the Double Cab. Unfortunately they don't.

As for new, they arrived today. I went to install the first one and ran into a snag.

I'll either send them back to RCI (Waiting for a phone call back from them.) Or I'll sell them locally to one of the crewmax guys.
I ordered a set of Demello Dominator rock sliders.

In this photo, the left side of the triangle coming up from the base, to the top. I cut it out with an angle grinder to clear the headlight adjuster.
Beyond that it's a tight fit, but it goes in. I also trimmed a couple of plastic bits off the front of the fuse box to increase clearance.

Doing it again, I would move the whole fuse box to the rear about 1/2" which is how much space it looks like there is. doing that I don't think I'd have to modify the box at all.

    Just got done with
Cleaning and conditioning the leather seats and Aerospace 303'ing the rest of the interior.
Washing the exterior, and giving it a coat of Z2 polish followed by Z6. Detailing the rest of the rubber/plastics with either Aerospace 303, Z16, or waxaddict tyre conditioner.
Hope to get another coat of Z2 on tomorrow and maybe some Butter wet wax.

I finally got around to wiring up my relay/switch panel, and re-running the circuit breaker for all the radios after the dual battery install. I'm not happy with the current placement of the switch panel, but it'll work for the trip we're taking this weekend.

6 Fuse, 6 Relay gang box from Amazon.

Takes standard automotive fuses and relays which should make repairs on the road easy.

Just had my transmission serviced @ Toyota of Elizabeth City, (Drain & Fill) . I had the tech keep the fluid so I could inspect, and WOW! Fluid was still a deep red and no signs of metal shavings. Tundras F$%&ing Rock! :yay: $180.00 out the door.

I mean, the speed limit on the beach is 15mph.

It's pretty awesome to get away though. Once you get past the 15-20 mile mark you'll see people but they're few and far between. We had one neighbor we could see from our camp site. He was probably a mile south of us.

So, good to go for camping on the beach then I take it.

You're allowed to camp on the beach for up to 14 consecutive days. Unless you're right at the first mile marker though it'll be primitive camping.

Put a bigger round mirror on the passenger side. I had the smallest size round mirror on the passenger side mirror on my 2011 Tundra. It was maybe okay/alright in the day, but during the night that 2.5" round mirror was just too small.

Tried like several D shaped convex mirrors, even a rectangular convex mirror. All of them sucked, I put on a bigger perfectly round stick on mirror, right at the bottom right corner on the passenger side mirror. That round stick on mirror gives the best view of my blind spots.

That looks good! I looked for a set of those wheels for a while for my truck, but never had any in a price range I was willing to pay. Most of what I saw around here was $800+, none of which had the sensors. My truck had the steel wheels so I was having to get sensors. I finally said screw it, and I bought the Vision Warriors from Discount Tire back in February with my Ridge Grapplers for $125 each and $100 for all 4 sensors.

This site is awesome, looking at all of the different mods people do to their trucks, 1st gen through 3rd gen, and how many good looking trucks are out there!

Yeah I got lucky! Found those rims for $350 on Craigslist. Brand new off a 2018 he said maybe 100 miles on them. The dealership was able to switch over my sensors so didn’t have any extra cost there. Next up is some step bars

Very pleased with how it turned out!
