The only thing that was pretty cool that I saw was the hidden "second glove box". As far as the "Entry/Exit" suspension height setting, GTFO of here with that $hit.

The towing capacity is impressive but I can't really see the type of person who buys one of these having the nutz to even tow that kinda weight.

When they say a trucks towing capacity with the right configuration I believe that a single cab 2wd has the most towing ability. The more crew seating the less towing capabilities. Correct me if I am wrong.

I like them, but not worth $50,000 without the guaranteed reliability of the Tundra!

Damn Right. Id rather get a brand new Platinum with all the bells and whistles and keep my appreciation value. Just like those Fords that had to be recalled due to carpy 10 speed transmissions that everyone went gaga over.

My SR5 seats are incredibly comfortable to me and I have a bad lower back and left leg.

As far as Rams go I thought the Cross hair grill trucks were awesome looking and I am sad they did away with it for the 19s. I am a Tundra owner now though so do what you want I guess Ram.

I’ll note that for me the leather seats are far less comfortable than the cloth in the sr5

With Toyota it's consistency. The Tundra is a tested, solid truck, and Tundras that have issues are the exception, not the rule. With the big 3, it seems like when those trucks are good, they are great, but there also seems to be a much higher probability of having major problems with them. I've got a friend who is a die hard Ford guy, and has had two eco-boost F150's, and has had serious issues with both. Then I know another guy who has one and the thing runs great. Meanwhile my friends and co-workers with Tundras have nothing bad to report, at all.

I’ll never leave Toyota but if I did it would be for a dodge.
My dad has had three 1500’s in the past 9 years, all with over 100,000 miles on them and he has never had a lick of trouble. And he’s extremely rough on his trucks and doesn’t take good care of them at all.
I like the looks of the new ones. I love the bedside tool box because it is so practical, the new touch screen looks cool and the electronic shift is pretty cool.
I know nobody likes it but again, my dad has never had a single problem with it and it’s so smooth and out of the way.
But again...I’d never leave the Tundra so none of this matters lol

The new ram looks good, but there is too much going on in the front grille. I wonder how long all those electronics will last in the RAM before going out?

Although I do like the optional air suspension. It should be a option for when the new tundra comes out.

I like the new look and the technology is awesome but my previous truck was a ram and it had two major issues that required days on the shop. After two years I decided to trade it in and go back to toyota and never look back.

Hopefully the new redesign tundra will have updated engine and technology.

I hate technology. I'm good with what my truck currently has. I don't want more. If Toyota adds more ill find a way to keep my current truck running until the end of days

I have had 4 Tacoma's, and I now have a 2015 Toyota Sequoia platinum and a 2018 Toyota Tundra Limited 4x4 that I just purchased. I have been a Toyota owner since 1970 and have owned all types Toyotas. I am what you would say a DIE-HARD Toyota owner. nothing finer than a Toyota.

Fiat....that is all. Fiat is a smart company when it comes to finances and acquisitions. But they're also known for gutting/restructuring anything they get their hands on. Chrysler was already near the bottom of my list (only GM products below them), Fiat is not going to help their cause.

I've got pads of paper that are less flimsy than the glove compartment door on those things. They feel cheap.

I saw one of these new Rams up close the other day, it was really a very nice truck. Beautiful, in fact. But I also live in the Northeast, and Dodge trucks seem to rust very quickly in these parts, and the reliability is a question mark.

Yes, I can't see how FIAT can help them. FIAT has always been known as unreliable vehicles. Chrysler has been known as unreliable vehicles. Throwing the two together - who is going to learn what from who? Nobody can benefit, other than getting a cash boost through cross subsidizing.

My dad has had a couple Ram 1500s and never had any problems. I drove his 2017 with the air ride suspension and it drove amazingly well.

I largely agree, but, in my un-empirical opinion, what is considered “too much high tech bs” in a truck is a constantly rising floor and in a couple years variations of Ram’s air suspension could be semi-standard just like like those newfangled (one word according to the Google) mini computers in the dash. Which I’m sure some people don’t like, but there’s a lot of threads on here focused on adding even more technologically advanced units. I know if I ever own a truck without a backup camera my neighbors’ mail boxes will pay the price.
