I use 303 on the inside of my truck, headlights, taillights, and tonneau every couple weeks just for UV protection.
I also use it on plastic wicker and cushions on my patio set, pop up tent, plastics and seat on ATV and lots of places. There's certainly better stuff for certain purposes but I get a lot of use from the 303 protectant

Man, you do get a lot of use out of it! I may have to try it around the house, I didn't even think about that lol.

My buddies dad used it on his boat, I remember when we were kids. After every use. He had a 1995 4winns and he sold it last year. The interior, seats, bimini, covers, looked like new. He's the one who told me all its uses, patio furniture is a big one, great UV protection

303’d my plastics tonight. Looks good! Didn’t take much scrubbing or anything, just sprayed it on and wiped it around. Its dark, so I didn’t take any pictures, but I’m excited to see what my side view mirrors look like tomorrow! (They we’re getting dull...) I should have held off on the exterior stuff... waxaddicts coming in tomorrow...

I gave the 303 a go earlier as well on my door handles and side mirrors, but it wasn't bringing out the deep, clean black the way I like. So I ended out going with Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant again. Love that stuff.

Deep clean black... not shiny, right? Use it on the dash? May give it a go after this is gone. Like I said, I purchased waxaddicts (tyre conditioner) for the exterior rubbers and plastics. Gets great reviews here.

There's a little shine to it while it's still wet, but it dries well. I just use it on the exterior trim. I use their interior detailer on the inside. If you want to try something truly bad ass (like restore your gray, faded plastic to black again bad ass), try their Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer spray. That stuff is unreal. Just be sure to have some rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth with you because you need to wipe it off paint immediately. I sprayed a bumper trim piece on my BMW months ago and it hasn't faded a bit.

I’ve had to wash after. The detail spray needs to be wiped off. A quick no rinse wash will do the trick.

I also have horribly hard water. I on occasion use a self serve car wash bay, but take my own soap and towels.

Waxaddict is great on exterior plastics, but not a ton of longevity. My go to so far has been Car Guys Plastic Restorer. That stuff works great.

I also have this stuff coming in today. It was recommended on a FB group. I’ll let you guys know the results:

Solution Finish Black Plastic & Vinyl Restorer - Use for Car and Truck Detailing - 12 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006NZRAFE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_JfCuBbR6P5SBD

For those using 303 on plastics, try using Adams Polishes VRT. Works fantastic!

Chemical Guys VRP is very good on tires.....but very finicky on exterior plastics. Make certain that you remove any excess, or it runs all over your paint. For longer lasting protection of exterior trim, you can not go wrong with Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant (WETS)

I’ve never used any Wolfgang products, but I recently got some of their Uber rinseless wash. Looking forward to trying it, probably today.

Also just snapped to it being VRP, not VRP. I haven’t even used it on tires. I usually use very little to keep it from running.

Everything I've used from Wolfgang has worked very well, especially their Leather Cleaner and Carpet/Fabric cleaner. Their stuff is pricey, though. Let me know how the Uber works out...been looking into this whole rinseless wash thing...just have not been able to bring myself to wash a vehicle in a 'non-traditional' way

Apparently I need to use more towel when applying 303... or again (as with bww) need to apply it in dryer conditions... it ran on me some time during the night, I’m guessing partly due to the dew (and partly due to lack of drying). Surfaces were dry when I applied it, but I did not buff it completely dry, partly due to visibility issues... was using a towel loaded with 303 to wipe it on, next time I’ll go around with a dry cloth to wipe it off / buff it in... :/ chalking it up to learning curve lol

I learned you need to buff the 303 after using it as well. Same with waxaddict. It'll run and look spotty if you don't. Live and learn, that's why were all here

The interior looks great (I started there, so it was buffed better), but here’s what the outside looks like. I took a dry cloth to it and it buffed right off.
    9885EF34-52F7-4F70-9EE5-390CA587C025.jpg

It ran down the paint from the door handles, so I used some quick detailer and cleaned that up.

Same thing happened to me when I first used waxaddict on my bed and tailgate caps. Came out the next day I and it had run down the side of my truck. @driverdog Jim straightened me out and explained the importance of buffing these types of products after applying.

It says right on the bottle of the 303 to wipe dry with a clean cloth... now I know why, just glad it happened last night and I caught it before it baked in lol
I’m excited for the waxaddicts... I really want to wash the truck this weekend and see how it turns out... unfortunately I’m foregoing this weeks wash so I can hopefully do a full (minus paint correction) wash, clay, wash, seal, wax, etc next week/weekend. Should have all the stuff Tuesday evening. This weekend is yard maintenance and house cleaning.

    We’ll crap. I can’t fit a 19’1” truck into a 18.5’ garage :/

My plan was to wash, ironx, clay, wash Friday night.

Then on Saturday late morning seal and wax.. figured garaged it’d stay clean and have plenty of time to dry.

Last time I did bww I had water running down from under the plastics (badges, mirrors, bed rail caps). Not sure how to get that dry other than just give it time or sun.

Any suggestions? Should I wipe it down Saturday with IPA or CG Speed wipe? I don’t want to seal crap in...

I’ve derailed my own thread

You could do a once over with some detail spray or rinseless wash.

Awesome, thanks! I’ll probably do the detail spray this time and experiment with some rinseless wash later :)

Add 1 ounce of uber rinse less wash to a gallon of filtered or tap water to create a super slick clay bar lubricant

Filtered or tap? man.. they're super picky.. lol
seems like a pretty universal product. Saved for later!

man.. I'm just going to have to stop by your house and try all your stuff out.. would save me a ton LOL
