    The city of Calgary just opened this set of man made class III rapids to the public. Tried to upload video but no dice.
    There is a mellow side where people can learn the skills and the class III side with several “waves” that the paddlers surf in. Its all calm water surrounding the waves.
    Love where this city is going!!

    I hear work can be tough to find, myself and all my friends are employed and I ride the train with hundreds of other employed people so I dont know.
    Real estate for a city >1million people is quite reasonable IMO. I live in an area others consider “the hood yo” (it is not that bad) A 1960’s 1000sq/ft bungalo with 23x23 garage on a decent size chunk of dirt can be had for $350k no problem. “Nicer” areas that same house would be $550k.
    I have one of Canada’s finest motocross facilities 6km from my house, a beauty river 15 min walk, downtown 15 min bike ride, piles of off leash doggo parks, mitt deep sledding 3.5 hours away, 3 downhill bike resorts within 4 hours, camping, hiking, snowboarding all within 3 hour drive.
    However, it is a city and the daily grind is not for everyone. Would love to live in BC but for me, the work life balance here is hard to pass up.
