I hate companies like this. My concern is what happens when you cut this thing up, blow it up, shoot it up etc and then they fail to refund you the other half of your money?
Can you call the credit card company and have them reverse the charges or recoup your money? Maybe detailing how they failed to deliver on time and when they did it didnt meet the specs and now wont refund you your money? I would also suggest maybe filing an BBB complaint too. If nothing else between the credit card company knocking on their "door" for money back and the BBB requesting info it might make them think twice about screwing you around any more.

    Just my $0.02.

I'd have called the credit card company and protested the charge. Once the money is backed out of the company's account, you'll have their attention. His statement that it's a "good faith refund" and that it "goes against our policy" tells me he's about to weasel out of doing what's right. Wait until you get everything settled to mention the name, he'll probably use that as an excuse to refuse any further contact.

No, wait until the refund is final. Then mention the name and other details. If you need to know the name now, ask in private.

Okay, it sounds like they are refunding half to amount to allow you to have it modified locally and installed. Or if you destroy it and send them pictures, they will refund the remaining balance.

I thinks that sounds fair. Except how do you destroy it without a torch of some sorts? You may have to pay someone to do it or run it through an auto crusher.

Today I finally received my full refund in my account. Evil Manufacturing aka Evil Mfg/Evil Off-Road and I have decided to part ways. They’ve since fixed their website and added “minor cutting is required”.

I’m now working on getting a bumper from SDHQ. Thank you all for the support.

"Evil Manufacturing"? That's an oddly appropriate name considering the hassle you went through.

Nice bumper brother! Looks good. I was looking into that bumper but decided on the Pelfreybilt.

truck looks badass, you're making me want to stick with stock wheels and put 35's or 37's(regeared of course). SDHQ bumper is on my wish list, or a custom prerunner bumper thats lighter and has about the same clearance for bigger tires

    All stock-ish. Powdercoated blue suspension.
I was going to mention evil manufacturing when I read the first page, but saw it here. That kind of sucks because I was looking into getting that company also. As much as I love and want SDHQ bumper, I just dont like how much it protrudes out. On the other side, glad to see and hear you got things resolved and went with the better side.

Truck looks awesome, as does the locale, the dogbeast, and the destroyed evilbumper.

Now the threadjack- did you powdercoat the stock wheels, or paint them?

I’ve seen a few sets of those blacked out and they do look good- thinking of doing the same.

Right now I’m running 295/70R18s, with stock TRD Pro suspension. Any wider I suggest running spacers, can’t even fit my pinky through the UCA.
Its not that bad in person. You also have the option to not have the Baja bar.
Thanks! They are the factory TRD Pro wheels. Pretty much a blacked out version of the Limited wheels. I suppose you could powder coat them gloss black and add the TRD center caps. You wouldn’t tell the difference.2877DE39-40E4-45F5-9C52-255AA7C39E66.jpg

That's the biggest issue with the stock wheels. Also why I switched to the RW wheels. 10mm more play. I can fit my hand in there with 305 wide.
